@noahkomavli Is it Windows 7 Starter? If so, then it should show up as normal. Try updating your USB drivers under device manager. Then try another USB port. If not then your HDD may need to be powered.
@naten9 sorry but wat do you mean by "make the files your own"? By the way, the device does not appear in "My Computer" but it does when i go in "Control Panel - Devices and Printers"

@naten9 I fix it. I think the hdd wouldnt show up bcuz of i put a HDD User Password on it from the bios just in case some1 steal my pc they wouldn't be able to access my data. So i just put the password protected hdd bck into the pc, boot, enter the password and copy all the files to the new unprotected one.
Sorry yes that's what I meant to say anyway doesn't matter now as someone just said I need an DVD Blu Ray External Enclosure. As I want to use it as a External Drive only and not Internal. It's an LG Blu-ray&HD DVD Drive.
@MusicanoftheFuture You won't necessarily need an enclosure just connect the IDE in the back and the power and then plug in the USB and as long as you're using Windows XP or higher and/or Mac OSX 9 or higher it should show up.
Hi, is that a Toshiba PC? It's like the one me and Mum use I just bought one of these USB To Sata Cable Convertors but now I need I think it's the one that has 14 Pin on it with the 4 Pin end.
do you just need ac adapter for 3.5''? and what else?
