  • HI Danny, I was wondering could you show me how I can create randomly generated goose noises in Ableton? If you could post a video that would be great. Thanks!

  • This is absolutely fantastic! i have been looking around for so long, and this has been great!

  • Thanks for that, that was very straightforward and helpful. I was just curious as to what you do to stop the tail audio at the end of the buildup from leaking over to the next bar .. or do you just leave it?

  • @hectorosbert I guess I'll just render the white noise to audio so i can snip the end bit off. Thanks again! :)

  • @hectorosbert you tpyically want that "reverb" type feel at the end. it makes the transition more smooth to whatever you are about to drop.

  • @gogswarriors Thanks for the response, i see your point but it's just that with this example at the end of the buildup (2:15 to be precise) there's this little deflating 'fsss' sound that sounds like air being squeezed out of a bag which i can't say i'm too keen on, but as you mentioned taking it out makes the transition less smooth. I guess if i ever use this technique i'll try shaping that sound a bit with reverb.

  • Really helped me out man, i was in desperate need of a build up and this was an easy tutorial to follow!

  • Absolute legend, couldnt of asked for a better explained and easy to understand walkthrough, thanks a heap :)

  • how to you draw in 1:43-1:54?

  • Thank you very much :) This really helped me

  • Yes, thank you!

  • JUDE LAWWW

  • FUCKING LOVE YOU!!!

  • How do you make reverse crash build ups?

  • @UnscrewedWheat Take a crash that you like and copy it right beside the first crash. Then you need to reverse the first crash, make sure there are no gaps between the two them, then consolidate the two. There you go

  • This was one of the best tutorials i have ever seen. right to the point and easy to follow. great sound too...

  • open up the triangle next to the track

  • I'm having trouble finding the Automation Control Chooser. Is that in a certain view or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Nice one, sounds exactly like the intro to 2nd Sucks by ADTR too

  • Sick.

  • you sound like ellaskins very good job btw

  • Great Tutorial! Short and to the point. Thanks!

  • Thanks, excellent tutorial, right to the point.

  • ive done all the steps as you said but i am ubable to draw in the automation to go from low to the high the whole bar moves. how do i automate it like in this video!?

  • DANNY BONADUCHIE ?!

  • tip for everyone, after the drop or whatever, let the whitenoise continue for 2-4 bars, lower the volume slightly and sidechain the whitenoise to your kickdrum, sounds pretty awesome!

  • You need Live Suite

  • @dannybonnici well then use it!

  • Can i do the same thing in the ableton Akai version?

  • awesome! sounds even cooler if you use side chain compression on it as well

  • aussie!

  • Exactly what I was looking for, with a compressor and using the parameters you can make a nice fade in too that Deadmau5 seems to use a lot. Thank you so much! You sound like an aussi or Kiwi?

  • Awesome! Thank you!!!!!

  • Folks are from Sicily

  • thanks mate, it's a talent to express things so simply.

  • Thanks so much man. This helped me tons!

  • exactly what I needed. Thanks!!!

  • absolutely wonderful video! it helped so much, and you were able to describe something much more advanced in 2 1/2 minutes than someone taking 15 minutes to describe how to change bpms, i'll def be checking out your other vid's

  • wow insta favourite, thanks so much

  • why cant i find "analog"? do i need to download a pack or is it only available in suite edition? I just bought Live 8 a couple days ago and am trying to figure everything out, help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

  • @xGHILLEx sorry buddy, but i think you need suite edition :O

  • 1 Cubase user disliked this video

  • "And just use Analog"

    "NOOOOOO!!!!!"

  • Awesome mate, thanks very much :)

  • Thank you for the wonderful tutorial, all the best!

  • i dont have analog in my instraments, what do i do?

  • @kydogg06 buy it ;)

  • @kydogg06 Same pricipal works with most synths

  • @kydogg06 same problem here

  • @kydogg06 hey man. if you have the original DVD of Ableton Live software. just put it in and install the library that comes with the DVD, all live sets, some instruments, samples and some gr8 stuff will install on your machine. it will take some time though, but you'll end up with lots of stuff to start with. just go to preferences>library and install!

  • @kydogg06 You can go to Ableton's website, and go to downloads. At the bottom of the page it says more downloads, click that. Near the bottom of the new page it should say live packs. Within live packs their should be a "Live Legacy 7 pack" Its free and contains many goodies for ableton.

  • @kydogg06 get analogue

  • @kydogg06 use operator. select Oscillator A and in the graph, if you look at the middle right you will see Wave. Click wave and choose noise white. Turn on the filter and you now have the Frequency sweep. Adjust resonance to your liking.

  • ello im danny and i like to do frequency drawrings 1:43

  • thanks so much.it's helpful

  • This is the first white noise tutorial i've actually been able to follow. Thanks alot !

  • hi danny, great vid, thanks for doing it, ive got ableton live and i dont have analogue listed in my instruments, is there another tool I can use to create a white noise such as the one youve created?

  • @freetv100 Hi You can change the oscilator on pretty much any vst synth to the "noise oscilator" then use the filter cut off to make it woosh up
