if you haven't read the books or you're not really comparing it to the books, it really is a great movie. However, if you start comparing it to the books and think about the fact that it's supposed to be based on a particular story-line, it basically sucks.

Now, I'm obsessed with the books...and the movie.Everyone has to realize that the book and the movie are two completely different things that are too different to try to compare. NOW enjoy the movie and gorgeous and beautiful Logan Lerman.

Seriously people stop complaining that the movie sucked, it might not really relate that much to the book but what would you do if you would've done the movie? It's not easy to do a movie. I bet if you would do the movie it would've sucked even more than you think the movie sucked. Just stop complaining and appreciate the creators of ths movie, they put on a lot of work for YOU. Love the movie and the book <3

and furthermore, how was percy able to pull the horn the was dug far enough into the tree to get yanked from the minotaur's own head? So many plotholes in one little scene.

unlike a lot of people here, i hated it. By changing it from the book, it had too many plot holes, which they wouldn't have if they kept it the same from the book. Like, when he got riptide before defeating the minotaur. why did he have to stab the minotaur with it's own horn, when he had the sword? Was it necessary to yank the horn out of the tree where it got stuck, when his sword is lying 5 feet in front of him?

@thesledbub Haha, yeah, that's true. But I guess the heat of the moment made him think the horn was closer (I think it was) than his sword and by the time he realized it was stuck really deep it was too late to try and get his sword...? Of course, the whole thing would be solved if they'd just let Riptide return to his pocket like it was supposed to XD
