actually it is an A chord. its just a power chord with an open A. same thing with the E. not an Em it a E power chord. depending on if you mute the correct strings.

okay i feel retarded for asking this how exactly do u palm mute? i usually just play hard downstrokes which kinda workd but not really lol. and wat kind of amp do u have?

@Ragwiid I'll tell you how to palm mute :) basically, if you look at your right hand which you strum with, you use the section of palm beneath your little finger on the left side of your right hand, and you press it fairly lightly about 0.5cm in front of the guitar bridge and you strum at the same time as pressing and voila! Hopefully this should work, it may take a few times to get it but hope it helps :)
