This is one of the most boring performances of "O Fortuna" I've ever heard. Of course I slightly changed my opinion when I realized that they were kids singing and playing. But it really does lack drama. And this is from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, not from Star Wars by John Williams. Check out other performances and listen to how they add more intensity and drama to the song.
This is one of the weirdest pieces of music ever! The melody and the words have no relation. The accents are in the wrong place. The lyrics are light, funny, playful in form and content. The music - somber, ominous, scary. Bad marriage. The rest of the Songs keep close to the words. The poems by the way were pornography in the 13 th century when they were written.
NOW WE(U.S)PUT YOU IN POWER(SADDAM HUSSEIN) TO FIGHT IRAN, NOW WE TAKE YOU DOWN(TO TAKE YOUR OIL).NOW WE TELL YOU WE'RE FIGHTING FOR DEMOCRACY, NOW WE KILL IN A BARBARIC/SADISTIC WAY INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
@pippa54321happy BIG UPS! I've watched this three times now, and it gives me goose bumps all the time. I LOVE whoever put the english translation in this text. I'm a soon-to-be linguist that only chose that field of science because I fell in love with it while studying Latin. The fact that the latin original text coupled with the english translation is in this video makes is sooo much better than any out there. It's fucking POWERFUL. Listen to it. God damn, this is a mighty piece of music.
I agree with the feeling...what an amazing piece of music. I have played this piece as a tenor sax player in our university stage band, and it is a bit tricky in some parts.
Also, not to argue, but Linguistics is (at least in North America) considered a "Language Arts Degree", and not a Science. I have a cousin who has her Doctorate in this particular study, speaks 8 languages fluently, and is never out of work.
This. Is. EPIC!

Great performance, but the trumpet players at the end sounded like cars honking during traffic... :\
