It's strange that he didn't answer her question at the end of the interview. If it was me interviewing Karen Black I wouldn't hold anything back. She seems like a very compassionate and understanding woman. A very good actress as well.

I worked with Karen a couple times as her makeup artist and

she was a wonderful, sweet , fasinating person She was very sensitive , bright and giving.The whole crew fell in love with her. I can't understand why Day of the Locust gave her a bad rep. She and Burges Meridith gave the best performances in that picture .

Yes, it was awkward and I had difficulty watching it too. The interviewer seemed nervous to me, especially when Karen caught him off guard at the end.

She is a bit weird but so are all actors, most just hide it better. Karen is a very smart women she is just eccentric. Most simpler people don't get it...they are just judging her based on the surface and not delving beneath the surface!
