best rts i think not. i cod easly wipe you out with a shit load of anit vehicle rockets. / infiltey. simplely put. not trying to be rude just saying you have alot of vehicles so i use anit vehicle rocks/missles. and wipe to armory out. but if you think you have a better idea plz tell me

If i want to bust a base in C&C, i'd throw units at the base like a storm. Here, I just need specialised forces and HEY PRESTO BOOM, base destroyed. This game is better than anyother game. Though the tech tree is confusing, it still rocks.

Both of these games are cool, but I agree in 100% with Morrowindsky and WZ is indeed better than CNC games. Huge, far more larger tech-tree, unit design that allows to combine dozens of tactics (really... They are still confusing me. I wonder what is better - half-tracked or wheeled recon unit?), specific weapons like Bunker Busters and these technical stuff: sensors, CBs, Commanders, just great

i both love and play c&c and this game. they have thier ups and downs. c&c is great for thrashing around in, and is much faster paced. but i love the unit customisation in this. (ive been playing c&c series since 1995 and this game since 2000). its a shame no sequel to this was ever made.

Actually, yes.

By allowing custom unit creation, it opened up all sorts of opportunities and varying strategies.

For example, if faced with a wall and a base behind it, in C&C, you'd just throw a lot of units at the wall until it went boom then storm it.

In WZ2100, you could use a dual force--use bunker busters to break down the wall for other ground units, while using units with Archangel missile turrets to weaken the other side at the same time, while assigning each to a commander.

Yes, certainly. You can combine tactics with that. And making new designs is really easy... To make new "Viper" tank with flamethrower, you do 3 clicks: Viper -- Wheels -- Flamer (Body Type -- Propolsion Type -- Turret).

hell yeah, this game will never leave my pc and i have 2 playstation 1 discs, love this game i completed the game campaigns like 30 times and still didn get bored!! when i had pc for first time i downloaded and enyoed the patch weapons, still playing it now because there is not other game like this with so much options! too bad that warzone 2102 wasnt released :( but for now the ress project is making me happy that others love this game too :)

wow, everybody seems to play this game differently, I immediately drop the regular weapons and pursue highly advanced flame thrower related weaponry and high powered energy weapons on top of light yet huge hover craft. The particular tech called the plasma thrower or something like that, is my top weapon for my main battle crafts.

Warzone2100 is massive and epic game and i spent hundreds of hours on it on both playstation and pc version, unlike C&C games which hit the trash can as soon as i reach the end

don't take me wrong, i really liked first few C&Cs but newer C&Cs like Generals are without any depth or soul, pure crap, :(

@vmozara This is going to sound blasphemous but I found Generals the least boring, because you weren't limited construction-wise. That said, it had a shit engine and was glitchy and unstable. With some heavy mods it can be fun though.

I don't care as much about story as I do about gameplay, primarily when it comes to RTS games. That's probably part of the reason, and also another reason is probably because I never grew up with C&C. Nostalgia had no effect and I was able to be objective.

I've been playing C&C Generals recently. Its FAR inferior to Warzone 2100.

Warzone 2100 was called a C&C clone when it came out, but C&C feels more like a clone of Warzone 2100, if that makes sense. :D
