  • is it true they can grow several feet long?

I mean....I heard they can grow inside of your stomach and just feed and feed and just grow way bigger.

    Is this true?

  • Schistosomes are generally around 10 millimetres long and reside in veins. You may be thinking of tape worms which I think can grow a few feet long, but they live in the intestine rather than the stomach.

  • theres no way this species can grow even close to that.

Your talking about roundworms and tapeworms.....which live in the intestine of humans and animals all the way to whales....and can grow to 75+ feet or more depending on the species.

  • Terrifying beasts. The first eggs are emitted by humans by other shistosomes living inside them. They spawn small larva which head for fresh water where they attack and kill snails, inside of these snails they grow untill they spawn several smaller creatures, these beasts penetrate the human skin, when they find a partner of the oposite sex they attach themselves to eachtoter and create eggs which leave the human body. The creatures feed on the humans blood and are extremely deadly and widesprea

  • I'm not sure the larva kill the snails, and a part of the disease is that many eggs stay in the body, eliciting a damaging immune response. The worms can be deadly, but usually they are horribly debilitating instead.

  • They arent that fatal organisms. They infects people who lives and swims near water in areas of facially or urine contaminated water and they are easily treated .

  • They do eat blood they do. And that can and is often lethal. THey aren''t "exagerating" this

  • In the case of schistosoma my friend the problem is not that they eat blood but the problem is the egg that contain a spine which cases injury to the tissue in the intestine and the bladder.also the egg cases granuloma and cancer in the very late stage.

  • Oke then, looks like we got contradicting scources. Altough I typed that 1 year ago knowlegde might have changed

  • well i don't know about your sources but this facts are known for about 100 year.

i am a parasitologist from Sudan i am at my final year.and have made 2 researches abut these organisms.

  • The only difference is that I said that because they ate blood they were lethal, I got it from several videos and some news articles. I didn't knew they were just parasites who you can life with, but I wonder where those people died from then....

  • @alwadhasco two years of research and your english is still not to good?

  • @MrMookstar its not good at all. and it was 2 years of working on bilharzia role back programmers not an ILETS or aTOFEL course.
