I am thinking of buying a 50 BMG I reload my 50 Beowolf and like your videos. Can you please list where to buy all the stuff and if you could do something better in choice can you tell what to change. Where do you get the best deal on 50 BMG cases used , 50 BMG bullets, and 50 bmg powder. I think you do your releoding simple and fast. Thanks
Bmg over all size is 5.450 inches and over all case is 3.945 Hey you skiped priming and case triming. Always start out at 10% under on reloads every 8 lbs jug is a little different on power, one my take 220 the next jug may take 225 or 230 or 235 to get the same results. Always buy a reloading manua!l good insurance! When first starting out reloading, load one at a time. Not five. Always becareful around live primers! one at a time, that can get nasty fast! bmg has a big primers!
Excellent videos! Try a coffee scoop next time for your powder! ha ha You took all the mystique behind loading the 50 away. Now I can see why only the Lee Classic press and not the new Breech Lock has to be used. Great job!
good job on your video! How much did the press with dies run you? I want to start on the 50 as well and have been looking at the classic lee 50 bmg kit for about $180 . What rifle are you shooting?
yea i got the lee for 175 with dies...im shooting a barrett 99 and now allso shooting the 82a1 :) i have videos of me shooting the 99 but havent got any of the 82 yet
Hey bud, nice vids! I'm sort of thinking I could buy several of those LEE presses and just lock tite everything in each one and save the PITA of having to screw those dies in an out constantly... and it would still be less than half the cost of those spendy units.
And, when you read the caliper, did you say 5.419? I don't know what the overall spec is... but anyway, calipers can be painful to read sometimes, you said 54.19..maybe thats MM?
thats a good idea....im a dillion fan thou and they are getting ready to come out with their 50 press kit with dies for around 800.....maybee not specific yet but their dies are nice and dillions presses are nice i have the rl550b and love it...their 50 press is huge it weights like 35 lbs lol its going to be nice....time are getting scarey thou
Ha, yeah, the markets are tanking all right. I'm still amazed the new Prez hasn't made a gun grab??? Meanwhile we are buying up MILLIONS more...but, thats a good thing! I'll have to wait for dillon I guess...I've had good luck with Lee's better stuff, although they do make some 'el cheapo stuff as well...very light duty. Later, joe
Thanks for taking the time to film the .50 BMG reloading process. I've bought the same press and manuals are ok but I'm a better visual learner. I realy appreciated videos 1, 2 and 3.
What is the maximum amount of powder for a .50 reload? I'm getting into reloading here soon, not for .50BMG tho. I'm going to make some custom .338WinMag loads. 300gr SMK HPBTs in Norma brass. Should make for a devastating 500 yard hunter.
im glad ive helped thats why i have did this i wish you good luck so far about 100 50 reloads went kaaaaaaa boooooooom ...... in a good way not the blow your face off kind haha
I have spent nay hours studying. I have all the tools and componets to load Solids, AP, API, Tracer ect. I also have sone a ton of researh on reloading Match grade ammo. Thanks for all the great info
would a digital scale be more accurate/ quicker than the scale your using

All three videos are very good.
Have you tried lubing the inside of the case neck with lube on a Q-tip and then cleaning them off with the same ?
Do you save much reloading 50 cal. ?
Lastly, did you work your way up to 50 cal. reloading, or did you start out with 50 cal. ?
