I am interesting in IE but i am not that good with Math! I was wondering if that major will be good for me, and is there any different between IE and Industrial Design?
@speedycatz Simply, IEs job is optimum utilization of available resources to achieve the best outcome of the project/ activity.
@speedycatz, if you are a good "technical" and "real" engineer in this engineering world, we might hire you. Yes, it seems that you are a good resource.
@speedycatz but they surely would be more succesful and important than the so called nerdy engineers who doesn't get laid like you, well they need someone to boss hahahaha
What type of engineering is available where you DON'T work on a team? Is there one even out there? Every video re: engineering disciplines I review always says the same thing: "You get to work on a team." Fuck that! I wanna work by myself!
stupid bitches like to talk bullshit about how they don't have to know the "boring technical stuff" but somehow they miraculously made "it" happen big with their "management " and "analytical" skillset
I graduated with a civil engineering degree and always planned to go into management either 15-20 years into my career. Designing can get boring. I might have the opportunity to work right away as an industrial engineer.
I just decided last week to go for IE , I did not know many things about it, your video just made my day. I am excited to start this great program and make the world a better place to live in. Thank you so much.
@aftad it really depends on the person with the degree. if someone with a business degree ends up getting to a high, high managerial position, yeah. They will make more. Someone with an engineering degree, however, can do everything a business major can do and more, but it all depends on what the person does with their degree.
well, im going to syudy IE this coming college school days!! .. hehe I love IE itself. its pretty different from any other engineers, I love ECE also and electrical engineering.. but IE is way better for me. as well. thats my major.
Industrial engineering is more of an engineer's systems approah to industrial operations. Applied Mathematicians call themselves operational reseach analysts or management scientists.Effient management of materials and people and their interations using mathematical models and silulation or otimization techniques..Mechanical engineers ,electrical engineers and chemical engineers design the components of processes but not industrial engineers.
I can't help but notice they're trying to sell it as the stereotypical dream job. I mean, Disneyland and a chocolate factory? Ah hell, I'll still probably end up going into it.
wow .. i really love my profession .. :) i am a proud industrial engineering graduate .. im april from the philippines .. i really love this video .. it's great .. congratulations ..
hey, can anyone tell me what is difference between Industrial Engineering, management science, and operation research? I am a statistics MS who is considering go to those filed for Ph.D
i'm a first year ie student,,,,and thanks for the video,,,, it indeed gave me wider knowledge of what i'd be doing in the future,,, well, if I'd be able to graduate...
so please can anyone tell me what are most intresting things in it and its creative works and many say ie contain 80% mechanical engineering is it true
yes, and u can take more or less if you want, depending on ur skool, for example we have to take materials, mech analysis, even system controls....but i wouldnt say 80% mech...
No....is no the true, I recomend that you read the book of Shigeo Shingo, after that. if you want studie IEE you are welcome, im working in Quality Control and i dont need any Mechanical background, i have some but is not need it at all unless you work on the machining area. like cnc lathe or something like that...
Hi, I`m student of industrial engineering (in Chile... then sorry for my bad english!) I have two years old in the university in this career...
Industrial eng. is better than any other engineering because is a flexible career in all areas... Tough in Chile is a little diferent, ind. eng. is, in us essence, for modeled all situations and solve this models... If you are a person who likes the sistems and solves, this carreer is for you..
I just graduated from industrial engineering last year and this is the best engineering for me, it is related with almost everything, it's a flexible career where you can develop yourself in any field you can imagine
all you need is discipline, because every human being is intelligent, and make sure you love it, its not just math and phisics, that`s just the beginning...
Yeah right, be proud of being industrial engineer, we are the leader of other engineers. We are the head/brain of the system of all process,We make this life being better and better. We are genius..
Im IIE, and basically you´re looking for improve all the operations in the company, and how you made that? well, all is about to make efficient all the process (admin and productives areas) and the basis is reduce costs with the same proefficiente or improve this...with what i can made that? thats what you and your genius can do....but basically is reducing costs or improve the activities of your company.

It's an engineering degree for people who fail in the "real" engineering world. Can't do any technical engineering design to save their asses.
