This is quite a good video, and thanks for posting it. Your skills and vocabulary are already quite good -- e.g., you explained yourself very well; better than most... you will become amazing at flamework no doubt! I look forward to more videos from you. (dont pay any attention to the guy that criticized you for making a squid - I guess he didn't watch the whole video. LOL.
what are you making a jellyfish or a squid? also im 15 and i just started making glass too i have the exact same torch and yes paying for 60 dollar pound glass sucks plus oxygen that runs out in like 5 hour torch time. thanks for the vid i apreciate it
@bluebellgb well it really depends on what type of glass you are using. If you are using COE 90 or so you need to lower your flame intensity and move the glass away from the torch. Here i am using borosilicate glass, which is about 30 COE, which takes quite a bit more heat to become molten. any other questions feel free to ask me.
Fantastic Kyle, Do you think your parents will adopt me, I'm 38 and house broken :D You're leagues ahead of me, and many others keep it up In 5 years you'll be knocking down doors and blowing minds with your glass working skills.
your lucky you were able to get started that early man, 15 is fuckin young for something like this. im turning 21 this summer and i have just now been on the torch for 3 weeks. keep it up and youll go places man, starting young is a great advantage.
wow I am amazed at your techniques and how well you exsplained it please bring more viedoes on aking stuff with glass stuff, I am just getting back into glass making beads and stuff and need s help ty
sorry about that hahaha i said squid in the beginning but it turned out as a jellyfish while i was making it hahahah so its actually a jellyfish sorry!
oh and also by the way my next project(i hopefully will film it) is going to be a goblet made on a torch hahah probably borosilicate 50mm heavy wall tubing....so yea im hoping it will go well and its going to be a first attempt so i will post it no matter what happenes hah
yo. your lucky you started learning before i am and when i take classes people are shocked that im takin classes when im only 17. thats a nasty as burn on your hand but i know how that shit goes.
"Common geometry"...whaaat? Great video, Kyle. I think I've decided you need to bring me a SkippON original next year. Man, keep it up and visit whenever you'd like. ~Mr. Levy
You did it Kyle!!! Five Stars for shear persistence and follow through. Make sure you charge your battery next time I never got to see the final squid jellyfish. You have a new subscriber.
sorry for the flare(i dont have a filter) sorry for the cut off at the end my battery ran out but it was basically finished you just had to pop it in the kiln!

You say you're going to make a squid, but the title says jellyfish, just pointing out.
You're young, be proud of your hard work. You will be a very accomplished person.
