sence you got two on flyrods- try one using a clouser. 2in to 4in clousers work wonders here in nc! white and grey-blue white-pink and white-and chartr and white chrome or gold eyes work the best. something about gold drives spannish in the boat.
Im moving down to Lackjackson soon and am looking to get a kayak to fish from. Im leaning tward a tarpon 160. What are your thoughts on the best kayak for the area and where to buy. Thanks for the input. Keep the vidoes comming!
i love the tarpon 16... super fast... faster than the hobie pedal yaks...great for long paddles... if your based in lake jackson, id try fishing tackle unlimited on 45 south down by friendswood/ kemah area...good luck and thanks.... ty
yes... 8wt is plenty for spanish......they come up to the jetties and in some bays here is texas... we were just looking around for anything busting top.... love me some flordia!
Can you use an 8 wt for spaniards. We only have to go a mile off shore to get spaniards here in Naples. I caught a 2 ft spaniard on spinner once it was fun. Nice vid Ill subscribe
we were chunking flys all day that day... no spin rods on boat... but i will remember that for the next spin trip!i know your right... have caught alot of spanish with yo-zuri's.....
This was a quality show. Im impressed. Keep the good work and I hope you got a credit for what youre doing. Or at least will have a credit ;) Wish all the best for the future and Im a regular viewer from now.
One suggestion, starting part about tarpon was not needed. It just left sense of undone. If something doesnt happened dont show it ;)
thanks a bunch tom... thanks for the tip on the tarpon... your right...that was my 1st time to run into texas tarpon...i guess i was so excited to finally ran into some tarpon i just had to show'em!
good question! i dont think it was... just something to keep his hands from getting a stripping cut.... that saltwater gets the hands pretty soft after a while...
