  • I was wondering what was up with the back grounds THIS HELPED! THANKS AGAIN LOL

  • THANKS!

  • No waste of time. Thank you. Much info.

  • Thank you!

  • When I place the puffy clouds in the video line the box comes up and I can change properties but it does not have a time line.

  • @mizikal There are 2 possible solutions, depending on your version.

If you have Vegas 10, there will be a button that says "Animate". Click that, and the timeline will appear.

If you don't see an "Animate" button, place your mouse at the bottom of the Puffy Cloud properties box, and your cursor should change into two bars with two arrows, click, hold and drag up to drag your timeline up.

    Hope this helps! :D

  • is sony vegas the same thing as 6.0??? need answers

  • Can you do this with one of you own pictures as the background?

  • Hello, I'm having a problem getting the background changed. I made a few simple effects with letters going across the screen and now I have it the way I want it. However, the background is black and I dont want that. When I make a background, if I put it in track 1, it overrides the letters so I cant see them. But if I put the background in a track after the letter effects I made, it only shows the letters and not the background (it ignores it). any suggestions?

  • Can someone help me, I have sony vegas 10 and when I put a background in there is no keyframe box anywhere..

  • @PkErDay When you drag something in to animate, like "Soft Clouds", there is a button at the bottom of the window that says "Animate" which will bring the keyframe window up.

    Hope this helps!

  • @PkErDay

you have to press the "animate" button on the bottom :)

  • this helps. thank you

  • music put me to sleep... great vid though!

  • how do i separate moving thing fromj background to another?

  • what do you use to record your screen?

  • @dmr778810 there are quiet a few screen recorders, but the best, free screen recorder would be "HyperCam2"

just put that into Google, and you should be able to find a download link :)

  • you could probaly do cut-out animation on vegas using the masking tool. like you could put a picture of a character on like 5 layers and on each layer a body part is masked. & then you could use like the parent mode for like a upper arm, & lower arm to connect them and if you were going to rotate or something you would use pan/crop. WHOA IMA GENIOUS !

  • i hate the background song

  • thank for these tutorials rich i just got the trial of sony vegas 8 i think lol

and i needed to find stuff out about useing it lol

  • Hi Rich, i have a question. I´m beginner in sony vegas, but watching your tutorials i m learning fast and have to say THANKS, THANKS THANKS!!...only one thing...where is the speed change in video lines? i searched and only see velocity, but dont change speed, can you help me? Thanks again!! is sony vegas 7.0

  • Hi!thank you for your kind words! Now as for speeding up or slowing down film you can use the velocity envelope feature but the way that has suited me for my vids so far is this:

put your mouse cursor over the end of the video clip, hold the control key, then click and grab the end of the clip and drag it left to speed it up or right to slow it down.(you will know if you have done it correctly as zig zag lines appear over the clip on the timeline to show it has been altered, hope this helps ☺

  • thanx!

  • Hi, I love your videos, I was wondering about when you open up your video properties for the soft clouds to make the animation how do you make it show the timeline as I have sony vegas 8 and I was wondering if there is an option to show it

  • cheers! Sometimes the time line disappears - if you hover your mouse on the bottom edge of the pan and crop window until it turns into an 'up/down' shape arrow then click and drag up the timeline should appear (like re-sizing a window) Hope that helps!

  • Oh Sorry, I was asking about the timeline inside Generated media where you draged the cursor bit to the end of it. could you please answer this instead. Sorry about that!

  • lol same thing, in the generated media window the timeline has become hidden, if you put your mouse near the bottom of the generated media window (just above the bottom of the window)my bad, the cursor turns to 2 horizontal lines with an arrow above and one below. Click and drag upwards and the time line should appear - same thing can happen on the pan/crop windows etc

  • OMG. Thank you so much. you are amazing. I would suscribe to you again but i can't. Thanks again so much

  • you are welcome! I know little things like that can get really frustrating!! Have fun with your editing my friend!

  • Rich...YOU ROCK! I really love your tutorials. I can't wait for another one.
