  • good call

  • omfg that crying is annoying

  • Bottom line, the coach should be in prison. He kows he got lucky with a weak minded jury sympathetic to him. Maybe we should have put some vets in charge or some nfl players or hey, how abpout some doctors worth a shit in that trial. Coach better be thanking whatever he thanks that he got away with murder.

  • @possum440 Fuck you. The kid was on meds that fucked him up and he shouldnt have been at practice at all. Its his parents dumbass fault for letting him go out there. Stinson was an amazing coach and im proud to have played for him until he stepped down...once again, Fuck You

  • I agree with the verdict. I do not understand why this case even when to court in the first place.

  • because he violated heat regulations and he made them run extra time in 94 degree weather.

  • I read he broke no rules.

  • he did. (also read above) violated regulation of heat and practice.

  • Coaches are not in it for the money. It is love of the sport and wanting to give back to the student athlete's. I feel sorry for all involved here but to go after the coach was wrong. Now the grieveing parents are going after him civily. It is their right but That man was trying to help their child and they are hurting coaching every where. Their missplaced emotions will make good coaches think twice about helping kids, maybe choosing not to.

  • that is true about coaches, but even at the HS level they are highly competative. I saw the GMA intereview and I believe that jason stinson feels pain and is hurt. i am surprised at the verdict. there must have had enough evidence to be charged and tried. the boys on the team protected him. that is how i feel. on the flip side, the boy was on adderall and something else and wasn't feeling well. his parents know this. did the coach MAKE him practice? if this cut and dry like...2/

  • con't..

those teens who drop dead while playing due to an unknown heart condition. the parents couldn't soley press charges and have a trial, it had to be deemed necessary. i think what saved stinson, was the fact that Max was on meds and was sick. i don't think the parents win civily either. the mother says she wants an apology and for him to take responsiblility and he won't. that's fine. he is a christian and does not feel responsible. after seeing it all i understand the verdict now

  • The jury did the right thing! The whole story is sad. I know lots of agressive coaches, but none that would harm a child on purpose. Being christian does remove one from responsibility. I know the parents are broken harted. But adding insult to injury will not cure them. I pray for all invovled!

  • i know. i was also answering those who asked why max didn't just say he couldn't do it. of course he couldn't do that. the only reason this was brought in front of a judge and jury was due to one violation. the coach will learn from it though. sit on the side lines and bark the order. i wish these coaches would also do the sprints. i have seen other coaches do it. having water and resting doesn't take away the temperature. i feel so sad for those parents and for all involved as well.

  • con'td again...

the only thing i can see is him clearly violating the regulations. he made they boys run extra laps or sprints in 94 degree weather and if Max would have said "coach i can't, i don't feel well" he knew he would get yelled at and called a pussy from him and the rest of the team. that is the issue. i think he is a good man, but i also think he fucked up.

  • ABOMINATION!

  • Comment removed

  • This is sad and I think he should have been charged. It seems every HS coach I see is fat and pushes these boys too much. I think if youre going to be a coach you should not only have to be as fit as your players but endure some of the tasks you make your players do then maybe these coaches will see how their team feels and will give them breaks when needed! Stupidity has cost this boys life. Sick World we live in!

  • dude ur an asshole... the kid should have known he wasn't feeling well and he should sat out... i wish this kid didn't die but high school coaches cant read kids minds and its up to the kids to speak up.

  • that's true...but what would have happened if he said "coach i don't feel well, i can't run" seriously. he would have been yelled at and called a pussy i bet. also, if you are going to call from the side lines to do extra sprints in 94 degree weather. do it with the boys. sargeants run with their men in the army at basic training. i think this case went too far and it was a tragedy but he would never do time anyway. it's football.

  • football is a sport that takes alot of dedication and commitment when the kid trys out for the team he probablly knows what he is going to endure or else he wouldn't have tried out. but if he didn't like practices or w/e he could have easily just quit if he really didnt like it that much
