God that was the best cross over ever. I love both shows so I love how this showed the best part of both shows and the interactions between the new and old people is hilarious.

I remember watching this special with my friends (we were 7 years old) I got SO excited when Krang came on the screen, and seeing the technodrome was FANTASTIC! Sadly, no one else had any idea who they were. :(
I'm all nostalgic now. Maybe I'll watch a few Real Ghostbuters episodes when this is over. Hated the gritty reboot of that series. Since I didn't know the turtles had a comic, I figured the newer turtles were a gritty reboot too & avoided it like the plague.

Why do people choose sides anyway? You know what, I throughly enjoy BOTH series. Why? Because to me neither one surpasses the other, as they are good in their own way. Which is also what makes this special so great. The 80s turtles were comical and the 2003 turtles were dark, so this special is like a perfect blend of comedy and dark complex stories. New Shredder may be more threatning, but old Shredder was certainly funnier. The Turles interacting is VERY funny to see, too! :D

The old Shredder was somewhat threatning when he first started, then he became sort of a goofball and then later he was more threatning again before Lord Dregg came around. Old Shredder was always more funny than the new one. If I HAD to choose I'd go for the new show due to the more complex character development and it sticks to the comics more.
Ok, i have to agree, the arguments between shredder and the pink guy is hilarious and gives more character to shredder. I mean, the new shredder isnt as funny, talks less, is more about gloom and doom, blah blah blah. the old shredder plays the average FAIL but funny villain, which is actually ok.

Wow , I miss the old turtle cartoon so much , I like the newer one too , but i never got into it as much , but just cause I was a kid st the time I watched , I like the 60s version I better . Probably wouldnt had I not grown up with it . TMNT was a perfect balence of the comical turtles mixed with the serious approch . Despite the plot being a little childish .
Okay..I have a question. I never really watched the new series, I caught a few episodes, but then saw the futuristic one and just stopped all together. But, if shredders the destroyer of worlds, is he still Master Yoshi's killer? Or did they just say eff that altogether. Ok, i have to agree, the arguments between shredder and the pink guy is hilarious and gives more character to shredder. I mean, the new shredder isnt as funny, talks less, is more about gloom and doom, blah blah blah. the old shredder plays the average FAIL but funny villain, which is actually ok.

Wow , I miss the old turtle cartoon so much , I like the newer one too , but i never got into it as much , but just cause I was a kid st the time I watched , I like the 60s version I better . Probably wouldnt had I not grown up with it . TMNT was a perfect balence of the comical turtles mixed with the serious approch . Despite the plot being a little childish .

Okay..I have a question. I never really watched the new series, I caught a few episodes, but then saw the futuristic one and just stopped all together. But, if shredders the destroyer of worlds, is he still Master Yoshi's killer? Or did they just say eff that altogether. And if they did leave it out, then how did they learn martial arts and what's their vendetta against Shredder? Also, and this is a big one. How...in the blue hell did he have a daughter..that looks like that?

@ChronicallyConfused he was from another planet but got trapped on earth. he decided to take the form of the shredder who was someone in ancient ancient japan (its hard to explain without giving away spoilers of other things in the series)

Could all the people my age PLEASE STFU about how the 80s turtles were somehow better? I'm in my late 20s, and you're being morons. For fuck's sake, YOUR CHILDHOOD IS OVER. Let these kids enjoy their cartoons. You know those Scooby doo, Jetsons, and Johnny Quest cartoons that were revamps? Yeah, people older than us had the sense to get jobs, raise kids, and give a crap about things that mattered, than argue over how much better their childhood was. We're closing in on 30, act like it!

My parents had SPeed Buggy Flinstones and the old Scooby shows, We had Scooby Doo and Batman and the Turtles and pokemon, who knows what the next generation will have.
Whatever it is though, we need to just back off and let things go. Our time is up as kids and we need to move on.

I don't know a soul who didn't somehow BALANCE out their ability to move on in life and still remain nostalgic.
[don't forget, the 2003 series came out, for those in their 20s here, when they were in their teens, s its not like they are reaching far back into the past to start shit]
