  • "Just like that, sing for me please."

  • The music is just one of the reasons why Cowboy Bebop will forever be an animated classic.

  • The voice in italian is so much better, believe me

  • This anime and Tears in the Rain (Blade Runner) make me break down. I wish I could just reach in and help him, but I know why he did what he did without help

  • Love this song. It has the same effect on me as hearing OoT songs. *wipes a tear of nostalgia.

Anyways just noticed, this song has a lot of musical themes that are similar to the song Aura Lee. Give it a listen if you don't believe me. Wonder if there is any influence or just coincidence.

  • @verdantTree I heard a part in the song here that sounds like they're saying "on the evergreen," and that does sound a bit like "aura lee," soesn't it?

  • i love cowboy bebop since i was younger, im only 20 years old. i just wish it was longer and they went mor in deppth with the characters and the orginization spike was in. there where like 6 out of 26 important episodes. They should do what Full metal alchemist did and remake it longer.

  • Everytime I hear this song i get goose bumps. All the good memories of my child hood sort of flash by. "See you next time, space cowboy!"

  • @Demon4338 Same thing with me!

  • if i were to die in a violent accident, i would see everything go in slow motion and this song would play through my head as the chaos unfolds.

  • I thought the song was an actual church hymn when I first heard it but I was pleasently suprised when I found it was unique to the series.

Goes to show that one striking scene can really make you relate. Excellent movie by the way, timing is perfect.

  • spike and julia will meet again in the palce where no shadow falls

  • 25 people have bounty's on their head.

  • I always loved this song.

  • and you only have 9 videos? this was awesome!

  • A beautiful song to ending.. Truly worthy of 5 stars, need to make more bebop.

  • this is one of the very few animes with black people in it

  • Nice vid. Very nicely put together

  • I looked it up, and these are just made up words from the singer Gabriela, they say its called "gabbish"

  • Cowboy bebop is the SHIT...I wish there had been more episodes. And the music in it was just awsome and had some nice classic music to it. The music fit perfectly with the show.

  • guys I'm italian and I can say that lyrycs are not in italian! if it were, there's a part thatcould be very very near to blasphemy! it is no possible....

  • :*(...Beautiful!

  • i heard a lot of times that choruses started out in latin, is there any chance? i know latin makes up most of italian and old english.

  • awsome:)

  • See ya, Space Cowboy.

  • That was awsome Good job

  • The music reminds me of x-mas .

  • @wong671wong Dude me too! Idk why.

  • Hmmm, relaxing, but sounds... nah.

  • wow nice one

    i liked it

  • What does it sound like?

  • Lyrics are not published. What my ear hears.

    Mary and Modred(?),

    into the ridge wood,

    red white and gold,

    we're just anointed,

    we're just a haunted,

    sighing sighing star,

    miath marka riha?,

    until evergreen.

  • i hope you know it isnt sang in english.

  • not english? then what is it?

  • its japanese. just like the real folk blues their both by yoko kanno

  • @contentlocked, she actually sings in a made up language but i think thts pretty amazing and creativ dnt ya think?

  • Green Bird is performed by Yoko Kanno on piano and sung by Gabriela Robin. However the lyrics are mostly open to interpretation since Gabriela's true lyrics are not published and her words are usually made up. However I did catch English words after listening enough. This song is not in Japanesee. Its English and possibly Japaneese/Italian or made up.

  • Sounds pretty much like what I hear, except the first line you wrote, I hear it as Merry Mantra.... strange, but it's pretty... :)

  • it's very relaxing ^~^

  • I like the song ;DD

  • Cowboy Bebop - Green Bird !!(Extended - Long Version!!) In my channel!!

  • was looking for this song thanks good flying space cowboy...

  • great song

  • I have to say, this is the best final show down I have ever see. Thank you space cowboy.

  • This song is deep.

    Real deep.

  • you think? i cant understand a single word

  • Lol

    Point officially missed.

  • I love you Katie

  • Do they use this song twice in the anime?

  • only once from what i remember. but i havent seen every single episode, most of them though.

  • Nope

  • episode 5 and 12 i believe

  • yay spike is the best..

  • gun beats sword.. asshole

  • Yeah, someone should tell Vicious not to bring that replica samurai-sword he bought on e-bay to a gun fight. And why didn't Spike just use his ship and shoot a laser through Vicious' window?

  • that wud hav definitely killed the drama of the scene.

besides spike never struck me as the logical type

  • a. because he couldn't get a percision shot and the fallout might have hurt faye.

    b. he wanted to face and settle thing with vicious himself

  • Not if its a hand gun held by a novice

  • Dissonant as fuck lol

  • I absolutely love this song ^^

You can really see n feel the memories playing back in his mind while it plays.

  • Sounds Cool :3

  • tnx

  • "[pulls up his hand in the form of a gun] .....Bang." - Spike Spiegel

  • is there a longer version of this song?

  • UNKNOWN

  • I hope so. ;_; I love it and it always gets stuck in my head lol

  • Aww, that's a cute video.

    Gotta love Cowboy Bebop. ^^

  • Cowboy Bebop 2011 Live Action Movie

  • Last episode= FUCK-ING EP-IC. For real man. No anime in the history of forever could compare to Cowboy Bebop.

  • i like how you kept the audio from the show at certain parts, and i love this song, the part that it occurs in the anime is like a music video itself tho lol but good video none the less

  • best animetion i seen in years just finished watching the hole thing every single episode took me awhile

  • Very well done! Not many can combine footage audio with a music video. That's what makes this a fave.

  • this series is profound. owns any American cop show.

  • and it only does so because it's so heavily influence by American popculture

  • True... although... even undr this influence it is able to maintain the main something, which makes it special and better.

  • "the mains something"...?

  • yep... You could call it a spark, a special feeling or something like that. And that makes it different and IMHO better

  • Slow your role jack. This show isn't based of anything American, It hauls because it's based of Lupin the 3rd. Atleast that's why i love me some Spike.

  • You're kidding right? Any person can see how heavily influenced by the filmnoir and western styles! I mean come on: Honky Tonk Women, Sympathy for the Devil, Ballad of Fallen Angels, these are all titles of songs by American musicians

  • You're an idiot, the first episode aloneAsteroid Blues is an homage to Robert Rodriguez's movie Desperado. Pierrot le Fou is a reference to a classic French mime character! I mean it's shares the same fucking title of the movie he was in! Cowboy Funk has a fucking COWBOY in it! Brain Scratch is obviously inspired by the Pink Floyd song, On the Run.

Srsly dude, this awesome anime is a blend of both Western and Eastern influences, and it's apparent throughout the series.

  • L00k man, What I am trying to say is Spike Spiegel is based of Lupin Arsene. I love Cowboy Bebop because of the likeness to Lupin.

  • Hm... =/

  • They both do have that loud-mouth, smooth bad-ass charm, but that's where the similarities end between Lupin Arsene and Spike Spiegel.

  • yup, sympathy for the devil and honky tonk women are famous rolling stones songs.

  • wtf?

  • And The Rolling Stones is British rock band, not American, They are heavily influenced by american folk blues or soul music though.

  • Good! bon clip ! Cowboy Beebop c'est mon anime favori! (france)

  • great job, best AMV for Green Bird that i've seen

  • my fav anime of all time this song is just amazin

  • That, was...beautiful. Nice song man. Cool vid. I give it a 100,000,000,000,000 out of 100. I might fav this.

  • just listening to this makes me sad, because it reminds me of how spike died.

  • easily one of the best shows ever made, and a very good video as well.

  • This was the scene that cemented Cowboy Bebop as something really special. It's not just a classic anime, it ranks with any classic piece of art.

  • muy buen video xD

  • i was searching for this song :D

  • This is my fave amv on youtube i love how you mixed the music with the audio

  • But thats how it is...

  • A very big part of me wishes that they ran away together and were happy for once in their lives though at the same time I know that that would have ruined the entire show and I would have not been happy with the way it ended. That was the best way they could have ended it. Nice cut, its the best I've seen.

  • cowboy bebop had everything you can ask from a anime show lol.

looking at this video makes me miss this show

    badly

  • sweet

  • uh... knives is trigun. this guy is vicious

  • LOL.. did you get mixed up?? don't worri man trigun was an awesome anime too man. I loved it.

  • I wish they would make a prelude to bebop so bad!

  • damn good vid

    and nice song

    well done

    cowboy bebop is baller

  • i actually think it's pretty good. love cowboy bebop

  • what genre would this song be in?

  • the genre that can only be classified as that of yoko kanno

  • Yoko Kanno makes sound that is such a dream

    the words are so confusing

the first time I heard this I'm sure I nearly cryd and then I find out its about birds eating worms and baking egg tarts

  • That's strangely fitting.

  • hey sputnikboy666 thats true cowboy bebop is the best anime show out there

  • i always loved how they slid eachothers weapons back to eachother

  • just like the final showdown in a better tomorrow 2 (1987) with chow yun-fat ;)

  • I love meditating to this song...And there was something surreal about the moment this song had in the anime. Great stuff, much appreciated. 5 stars.

  • do you have the notes for the song, crazynighthawk?

  • Awesome AMV, I love this song!!!

There's nothing better than Cowboy Bebop!

  • you´re right CB is the best

  • Great Job on the music video my friend, it fit very nicely. There is something surreal about this tune, almost like a silencing out of body experience.

  • It's definitely Green Bird, says so on the album.

I love playing this on piano. ^_^

  • This song is called Green Bird XD

  • this is Ballad of Fallen Angels

    pepe101airborne is right

  • no, the name of the song is green bird, but the name of the episode is ballad of Fallen Angels

  • i'm pretty sure it's called "Ballad of a fallen angel"

  • nop

  • What is the name of the song? The original (no, it's not called "Green Bird").

  • strange music n already i like it

  • I love this song

CB was the only anime I cried to :'']

  • Beautiful, beautiful beautiful beautiful!!!

    It. Was. Awesome!!

  • i like how you changed the ending to make it look like Julia ans Spike both survived

  • Dude this is awesome, I seriously thought I was watching a bit from the show for a second!

  • i sing this in the car....and i have no clue what im saying!!

  • i find myself doing the same thing!

  • me to ^^ or when i'm in training for something or whatever it's great cuz people look at me weird when ever i start singing in jap it's a blast!! =^^=nya

  • Vicious was such a badass, best character in CB and one of the greatest anime villains.

  • best fight ever

  • Ah I love this song!! Thanks for sharing!! ^-^

  • Ooh I love Gabriella Robin and Yoko Kanno both <3 Wonderful video too~~~ Cowboy Bebop is the best series ever x3

  • has anyone seen saving pvt ryan? if so mabey you could up load this song to that movie

  • i luv this

  • that was good man

  • this anime series is one of the greats

  • Sure dose brings back memory. I never know what language is this song is in. Kinda odd for me to not understanding the song while I'm loving it.

  • The language is "Kanno-ish," which Yoko Kanno uses in a lot of her songs. Actually, the intro for "Blue" is in this language, too, IIRC.

  • the language is made up by yoko kanno. Wo qui non coin is the same.

  • I heard it was Latin.

  • wo qui non coin is japanese and french oO

  • That's true. But it's very yoko kanno like to made up such thing.

    She's great though.

  • Damn straight. Big fan of both Bebop and Escaflowne, both show-wise and music-wise.

  • You should watch the uncensored version. WAY better.

  • the uncensored version of what??? the movie??? i don't ever seen it but... i really want to watch it! please tell me where do i find it?

  • nice +favd

  • ^_^ really nice

  • great fuckin vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn that was actually good wow!!!

  • an amazing video. i luv how u mixed both the music and the sound from video together.

    overall, its excellent!!!

  • easily my favorite bebop episode, and this song if part of the reason.

  • hell yeah awsome vid

  • 5 star material amazing really amazing

  • You did this anime justice.

  • even if you're not into anime, this is just a must see series. it's a masterpiece.

beautiful job by the way ^^

  • well it is the best anime .....i would like to see a series that show u the begining of spike's life when he was in the sindakit(sorry for spelling)

  • AHHH, was good until he spoke. Whyyyy the english version? Don't be lazy! The japanese voices are sooooo much better than the cheesy english version. Japanese with english subtitles folks makes for a perfect anime =] Trust me!

    Otherwise.. Awesome song ^_^

  • but none of the charicters even look japanese. I mean they're even called"Cowboys"!

Oh well if that is your opinion, personaly I think the japanese voices are kinda monotone.

  • spike actually kind of reminds me slightly of japanese actor hideaki ito. faye also has an asian-esque aura about her.
