@goscott4 his name was Nguyen Ngoc Loan and he was not a "police chief" as reported here but a Brigadier General in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, and yes, he did move to the US and actually lived a few houses down from my family and owned a pizza joint in the local mall.
I heard that the police chief eventually came to live in the USA, is that a fact anyone know for sure?
