  • now racing is financed by phucking drugs

  • The cop will quit the pursuit if you just pour a jar of marbles or 1/4 inch ball bearings or even a carton of BB's out the window at high speed...your run into a cloud of that shit at 70 or 80+ and its the same as nailing the pigs cruiser with a shotgun! if his car cant run he cant chase!

  • illegal liquor! ha! what about psedo ephedrine they still keep on the market that keeps destroying lives due to the meth cookers!

  • Fuck Ruby Tuesdays

  • REVENUERS MY ASS LEGAL MOB !!!!!!!!!

  • @serger2010 I'd want a good bit of power in my car so i could push them lawmen out the way!

  • @Fireheart528 ME TOO !! THOSE S.O.B 'S

  • Hehe, in the South, we start driving once we can see over the wheel. ;)

  • @snickbick In the Northern tier, we start out driving big stuff--tractors, dozers, and the like if you live on a farm.

  • @snickbick No-no.. I have reviewed the driving regulations for '' the south'' and have determined that you are lying.

  • @nobodythatimportant my grandpa made his first still a 11

  • nothing better then a good cup of the shine

  • This is how NASCAR got started.

  • @Comeback209,

But, kids these days have NO DISCIPLINE (I'm 39, and can still remember getting smacked on the butt) - try that today and Child Protective Services swoops in screaming "ABUSE!!" and takes the kids away. Not only that, but kids are doing drugs, carrying GUNS (to SCHOOL), having unprotected sex and getting girls pregnant (just watch MAURY), etc., etc., etc.

Compared to THESE guys, kids today are CRAZY!!

  • @knightryderrwn There have always been kids who have sex, and if certain drugs were widely available then, the chances are they would have taken them.

  • @urban22s,

No doubt. I"m just saying that compared to somebody my age (39), a kid today has NO DISCIPLINE, because the "parents" are more interested in being a kid's FRIEND first, than in being their PARENT. And of course, like I said in my previous post, Child Protective Services (CPS) has a FIELD DAY if they even THINK there's been any kind of abuse...and the kids today KNOW IT!!

  • @knightryderrwn 90% of the people on Maury are white trailer trash. hillbillies are not res necks or trailer trash they are a simple people. I my self would like to be one.

  • @knightryderrwn You're 39 and you sit on youtube talking about kids have no discipline?

  • @NotPalatial,

  • God Bless Benny Parsons,a real gentleman

  • hey thanks apple gonna go grab some books tomorrow nothing like readin on the porch sippin shine

  • So, his savings of the Federal taxes on liquor, and the markup the 'shiner could put on a quart of hooch if he could just get it to the county seat, combined, were such that he could pay a young guy **$A HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS (in '50s dollars) a load**?! Unbelieveable.

  • we dident need no stinken badges

  • my dad did moonshining up in canada when the prohibition was on, in southern saskachewan

  • I love the true storys like this one with the real guys that did it they realy are true Hot Rodders. I would of loved to take my 1952 plymouth @ go flying down the back roads hauling something like that just to see how it realy was back then. Is there A surtant year @ model of A plymouth that the old moonshiners might of drove ? because I was thinking about making A old plymouth in to A tribute car for moonshiners like A 1948 plymouth coupe thanks for posting this video I would love to see more

  • fuck malibo i own it

  • Yep, real NASCAR. Not today's crap.

  • i wish i grew up in this period of time, i would be doing this with a smile on my face

  • YEEEAAA MAAANN!

  • HELL YEAH!! WHITE LIGHTNIN!!!

  • oooohhhh moonshine....yum yum yum!!! =)

  • omg that guy is so fat at the beginning

  • God bless the good ole boys

  • franklin county va. still make and run shinefor a living. 15 yrs. lost tradition

  • good job

  • Anybody know the song at about 01:55?

  • Ultimate sleeper performance car....the moonshine car. Designed to be the fastest and the least eye catching. I wouldn't want a flashy car, too obvious and conspicious, says "arrest me!" gimme a 'shine car!!

  • why are some whiskeys are illegal?

  • "moonshine" is only illegal because the creators didn't pay alcohol taxes when they created it. and prohibition (it used to be illegal to drink alky) is why it was illegal in the time period concerned with this video.

  • but its legal if u make ur own liqour but dont sell it?

  • Very good! i was hoping you would infer that. as long as you dont sell it for a profit, then you can make all the moonshine you desire. : ) give it away at church bake sales, become a hit with the guys. lol

  • dont forget, it is also illegal to transport alcohol without the proper licence

  • That is actually a lie. It is illegal to distill alcohol, no matter if you do not sell any of it or not.

  • its like baking pies, as long as you take no profit, and are within the "pie eating" requirements, do as you wish. basic rights knowledge is all that it takes to figure that out

  • That is an ignorant response. In USA it is illegal to distill any spirits without proper licenses regardless if you sell it or not. It is this way because if a person was to do it legally they would have to pay for licenses, taxes when distilling and selling, which in turn would make the government a good chunk of change from all the distilleries. Please keep posting your comments, your ignorance cracks me up.

  • meh, it's really an irrelevant issue to me. I'm just going to stop discussing it in order to keep from exacerbating your ego.

  • Excellent part of americana history..good video with layed back easy commentary!

  • moonshine is illegal liquor, its highly flammable i think.

  • uhh everclear? 95% alcohol?

  • MOONSHINE!

  • Rub'ning alcohol...100%

  • Be careful!!! wood alcohol will turn to formaldehyde in the body, or some nasty deadly symptom. grain alcohol is the drinkin' stuff

  • I know it is a year ago when you posted this comment, but yes, very, very flammable. I'll never forget my dad told me the story about my Uncle Billy Joe leaving a blow torch on in 72, with a jar of shine beside it. The fire spread to his stock car and the whole side of the house just about blew up.

  • funny how they talk about smuggling illegal liquor, but people talk shit now about illegal drug trafficking! hypoctites.

  • Who else like cake? Ok time for a real question. Whats moonshine exactly? Liquor?

  • 'Homemade' Whisky.

  • ah... the birth of NASCAR lol

  • die asshole.

how i wish that your mother dies horribly with long suffering in deep pain.

  • im sry... i usually dont believe everything i read bt went i read that comment i got sceared and bcs my mom..emm.. nevermind its none of your besines.well went i read that i just belived it and i posted it in 10 other videos.. i dont know y .. it was a beat fullish of me to do that bt you can understand that i got sceared .. im sry again

  • So our grandparents were smuggling beer at 14, yet this generation of kids are the ones who lost morales and discipline? Silly old people!

  • The stuff that they are transporting is MUCH stronger than A LOT more illegal

  • Its not about what it is that they're smuggling, its the principle of the whole thing.

  • @Comeback209 Moonshine is whiskey not beer

  • @Comeback209 Well back then they were just smuggling beer now people are smuggling drugs and human slaves

  • @ladiesmanmatt People have been doing that long before as well. Now it's just easier noticed due to technology.

  • @Comeback209

Ahhh i cant say much, i live in a small town in kentucky and ive been drivin since i was about 12 or so, my grandpa started at 9

  • @Comeback209

Ahhh i cant say much, i live in a small town in kentucky and ive been drivin since i was about 12 or so, my grandpa started at 9

  • @Comeback209 they weren't hauling beer 190 proof whisky

  • @Comeback209 beer drinking and smuggling at 14 is not morally wrong.. naive yankee liberal fucks

  • @Pawnbroker00 Nothing is morally wrong. Morals are subjective, faggot.

  • @Comeback209 Isn't this that program called "Rum Runners, Moonshiners, And Bootleggers" that was narrated by none other than Billy Ray Cyrus?

  • This sounds like the "Cheaters" announcer with a horrible fake Southern accent.

  • Criminals are my kind of people.

  • hes my grandpa...

  • these anti-federalists hill billies have given america problems since 1776.

  • so ur saying thomas jefferson gave u.s. problem....

  • he weakened the federal government yes.

  • but by doing that he made your rights...and nothing is weakend its ALL EQUAL....o.O

  • actually making my rights was not a function of his anti-federalist ideals. two separate things. he weakened the national government and was pro states rights, he even endorsed the whisky rebellion i think. which has everything to do with this video.

  • he is admitting to illegal activity? cant he be arrested for it now?

  • who cares.

    Hes cool.

  • they could press charges but they could deny it and the officers would have no proof

  • so if someone were to kill somebody, and on tv they admitted it before a trial, the prosecuter would have no case against them?

  • I think it depends on circumstances. If there is evidence available to result to his charge than he can be charged.

Some guy could go on national television and say he is involved in the a drug trade ring. If prosecutors don't have any proof than they can't do anything.

Its kind of like the mafia long time ago. Everybody knew they did it but they got no proof.

  • That would have a manditory sentence of 20 years in Fed Jail today

That is why the USA, with 4% of the worlds population houses 40% of the worlds incarcerated

  • boy that was past- now the police and military transport cocain for a bigger price.

chucks they were dumb and dumb now.

  • Why didn't they just get inconspicuous cars and move it during the day to throw off the cops?

  • They almost never ran into the cops, the high power was neccesity for when they were found.

  • Okkkkk.

  • the birth of NASCAR

  • ehhhhhh

  • thats freakin awesome!!! alabama moonshine is pretty hardcore!!!

  • moonshine is from the appalachian mountains, not the deep south.

  • Some of the hardcore boys would take all the seats out of their cars including the drivers seat, and sit on a crate of shine.

  • Wow... now that was cool! :D

  • Keep Sharp Eye ON Terrorist Sleeper Cells Communicating On You Tube.Check Comments!!!

  • Ishma HALA KALEM!

  • listen to thay loogi at 2:31

  • i never knew about this...Pretty sweet!

  • that should be a good show

  • that is how stock car racing started. my grampa use to run illegal liquor throu wi for fast cash .

  • thats nice to share, huh.

  • Can ya imagine if they prohibbited cigs yes lung cancer rates would drop but we'd have mass genocides/suicides waiting in front of the stop and go

  • national geographicixass!

  • very interesting!

  • Prohibition doesn't work, just like the current drug war is a waste of money that makes crime more profitable. We lose tax revenue, addicts can't get help & dealers don't mind selling to kids.

  • Prohibition only leads to more demand.

    Proven by many historical facts.

  • I think this is how stock car racing started.

  • illegal liquor is a great example of the futility of outlawing "vices". as these men show it never works. without proabition the mob would never have grown big

  • RIP Benny Parsons

  • awesome story

  • hopefully thell be interviewing pot growers like this in a few years...

  • they already do. its called high times yo. fuckkk the law. imagine if those cooked fucks got there has on the stash, who knows what the hells gonna end up in our fine marijuana. and i wouldnt like to support the govenment after they have been tring to bust my ass. hahhaha

  • hahahaha that was really good to hear such a tale worth the time.

  • American AE86! 20+ years earlier!

  • LMAO! That's the shit.

  • Why was moonshine illegal? Wasn't it normal alcohol. Apparently nothing is wrong with drinking it or whatever is done with it today because those guys don't seem to be afraid of going to jail anymore.

  • It makes me feel so good about myself that u can answer my question while being abusive about it. U dickhead.

  • lol

i think moonshine/tub whiskey was the easiest/cheapest alcohol to make and all booze was illegal, not just moonshine. prohibition was a ban on all alcholic beverages from what i understand. moonshine is illegal for the reasons your friend there pointed out

  • while he is a twat,he's right, moonshine is illegal because the maker didn't pay the huge liquor tax on it. having moonshine isn't a crime like posession of cocaine or something,it's a crime like tax evasion, still is too

  • Ok thanks guys. Appreciated the input even the not so friendly one.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • yeah that was nice. Hauling illegal liquor. I bet you he got caught at least once, if not i bet ya hes still makin it and sellin it.
