Fraudulent-ass bucket. I still remember that shit. The Rockets used to get burned on these calls all of the time. Sabonis was a helluva ball player though.
@Paulys1997 Sunday, Dec. 10, 1995. The Blazers played the Rockets at the Rose Garden on the second night of a back-to-back. Obviously fatigue was not a problem.
I remember this game very well.. our announcers went nuts and then had a look at the replay and went, "wow.." in response to how badly the refs blew that one.
I'm collecting Blazer buzzer beaters and I can't believe I can't find this clip anywhere else.
We screwed the Sonics in similar fashion in 1990. The clock and horn were way out of sync. Terry Porter launched it way after the clock expired but the horn didn't sound yet.
Me grab. Me score!!!!

5 people are just too proud to admit Sabas had more game at the lowest point in his career than they'll ever have

Pause it at 0:04 and the clock says 00:0 and the ball is still in his hands...in a game today that would have not counted.

That shouldn't have counted.

All of you guys forget that the clock that is shown at the screen most of the time is off from the real shot clock.
WaTTzas 1 year ago
this is such an easy call u can actually pause it around :5 seconds and actually see the ball in his hand and the clock at zero hahah

The Terry Potrter one was close. This one was definitely a blown call, though.
Adler4404 2 years ago
@Adler4404
The Porter one, like this one, was shot after the clock read zero, but before the light and horn went off. That one was a blown one too.
The Roy shot last year was definitely legit.
crazyclimber80 2 years ago
I'm 100% sure the Brandon Roy shot last year was clearly before the buzzer.
Adler4404 2 years ago
i didnt mean the refs i meant the trailblazers.
but come to think about it....
if the clock would have started precisely when Roy caught it, instead of after he shot it, it wouldnt have counted.
i dont think anyone cared tho lol including me.
htownnigggga 2 years ago
I seriously doubt it. Catching and spinning in 0.8 seconds isn't unheard of.
Adler4404 1 year ago
@Adler4404
if u doubt it then look it up and pause right after his release

That didn't even count.... Nice try though.
