I think the Wheel went to WMBD around 1990. When it was on WHOI, WMBD was running "the People's Court" with Judge Wapner in that same time slot. I also remember when the Bugs Bunny cartoons ran on WMBD Saturday mornings before switching to WHOI.
yeah, and WHOI used to have their 6:00 newscast at 5:30 proceeding the world news which would always be 30 minutes old. Than they flip-fliped around 1990 to resemble the other stations. Than in 1997, the added their 5pm newscast and the short-lived HOI News Midday. They've had ups and downs, but it looks as if they're starting to stabilize again. Gotta love their weather computer.
Wow. I remember that old theme and logo. Kinda creepy.
That said, just offhand, do you have any video of WHOI's old Christmas spots, with the special theme ending with "Season's Greetings from WHOI"? Don't run yourself ragged looking for it if you think you do - it's just a thought from a guy who grew up back in the area.
I have some video promos of WHOI from 1988 that features the same theme music. It's too bad Granite Broadcasting took over the station. WEEK & WHOI were better off seperate doing their OWN newscasts & news storys. I can't even watch "News 25" or "HOI 19 News" anymore (not even the national news) all because of the economy!
what ever happened to peoria television ? pretty sad theses days . wished they would go back to the 80s programming

When did 'Wheel of Fortune' air on "19?" What time, and from 1983-when?

You know I always thought that for the Peoria market, WMBD (CBS 31) always aired Wheel...

It's interesting that they showed mash and wheel of fortune back then.

Do you have a copy of the "We're 19, We've Got It All!" campaign from the WRAU to WHOI launch of '85?

Nope. Most of my old video collection was late 80s onward, and it was just random that I'd find stuff like this.

Great Memories! Do you know the year of this video? Can't wait to see more!

I'm not sure, because this was on a tape that I had stuff from 1987 & 1989. So it's one or the other.
