Molokai, or anyplace in Hawaii is 100 times safer than any place on the USA mainland. You guys got drivebyes, carjacking, kkk, mulisha's, hate crime is way higher there than Here in Hawai'i. Aloha from Ma'ili , O'ahu.

Haoles are HATED and most locals are druggies an welfare cheats, When the cruuse ships wanted to make it a stop on their tour, they were met by angry locals shouting obsenities and told to stay off out island. Research this. Friend of mine worked at the HS there and it was dangerous. She was assulted by students, called fkin haole and nothing was done. Potheads set fire killing 4 an cops did nothing.
I am so sorry that this happens from time to time. I understand this because something similarly odd happened to me on the 200th anniversary of Bastille day in Paris France I was attacked on the subway by skin heads. I do not attribute this behavior to all Parisians however. There are wonderful people out there as well.
I am sorry that you have this kind of thought of Moloka'i, or it's people.. I am Hawiian, born and raised on this beautiful island that i call home. Like any other place, we will have some bad apples, or just plain stupid people, but they are never the majority. and the comment about not being a dark skinned local... That is not true, I am 50% irish myself, and my "Haole" family have never came across the kind of situation for the 40+ years they have been visiting this beautiful island. Mahalo
