Just go to a store like part source or Canadian tire and just grab a set of neon lights with a music sensor.
His music is pretty loud and doesnt seem to picck up stupid stuff, only the bass. he might have it wired up a different way.
Mine just plug into the cigarette lighter with a box that senses the beat from the music. Works pretty good but sucks ass if you're driving.

mine its the same as urs but because of the loud subs I change the sense level to a very low frequencys so only sense the lows... Mine its direct to a positive so i put a switch for put it on when i want...
