dude, you need to shake the guitar until the pick gets to the center of the sound hole, and then quickly turning the guitar upside down, so that the pick can go out.

@OzzieMunoz Epiphone J-200 are not warm. They are made of maple, which makes them very bright. Mahogany gives you the warmest tone.

@KevxMeister this is a great guitar for beginners. just plan on changing the "cheap $1.50" strings to better "Matrin or Elixer" strings and thats the end of the tuning problems. I have this same DR-100 in all three color finishes now and have had NO problem with tuning with Martin strings. I have all three set up to different tunings. There cheap but not at all bad for $99.00. They don't compare of course to some of my $3,700 Taylors or Martins ... but hey $99. there great for the beach/travel.

You should NEVER ever shake the guitar, because it causes the neck to loosen and snap.

@Cloudz2789 hahaha bull. your guitars NECK wouldn't break from shaking it a little just to get a pick out. if you were shaking it like crazy and you treated your guitar like crap then MAYBE your truss rod could loosen and snap but even the chances of that are slim. if you keep good care of your guitar, apply your strings correctly and always have it set up correctly, shaking it enough to get a pick out will do nothing. you obviously don't know what your talking about, good try though ahhahahaha

@TimBirkenholz well ill be straight up with you, out of the factory the action wasnt very good at all, the strings were very high above the fretboard, but if you give it a good setup its fine. on the solos and bending, you cant really do much of that, but thats to be expected with acoustic guitars

the Dr 100 is an excellent guitar, im mainly a bassist so i bought this a "fool around guitar" but my dad played it once, he mainly and relgously uses only ovation legends, and he loves this guitar, not a very solidly build guitar casue i dropped it on to carpet and the neck snapped, I am totally buying a new 1
