  • i blame the Fwench...

  • You have ruined it...and please get it right, it was a Belgian TV show recorded at studio 22 in Brussels for 'Popshop/Telepop.

  • Fucking stupid version. Not The Slade but your "mukahauska" version. Why keep kind of shit here? Cause U want 100k watchers :) :)

  • awful just awful

  • Né pour faire la route ...

Une brèle, une bière, un casse-dalle, un plein d'essence et vas-y mon gars ...

Arrête de délirer pépé et viens prendre tes pilules !!!

  • Great rendering, FUCK the fake color and the editor, just killed a good vintage video

  • Greatest ever UK rock/punk band !

  • HUNG THE FKN EDITOR

  • Hmmm.......anyway...yes..shoot whoever placed this on here...TWAT.

  • Pedal freaks: What is the effect at 3:34? A pedal? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • flanger

  • @Burgerman666 Hi Burger. I believe the sound you are referring to is a police siren played into an amplifier by Slade's great mate and road manager Swin. Graham Swinnerton. Utterly fantastic effect and is absolutely wonderful in this version. Read it somewhere in my Slade publications, sorry don't remember which one. Regards Bigmagic. Long live The Mighty Slade!!

  • @bigmagic96 Cheers Bigmagic. Great info, I appreciate it. Long live the mighty Slade, indeed! ALLLRIGHTTTT...!!!

  • @Burgerman666 You're welcome mate. KOR and LLTMS!!

  • Merry Xmas everyone!

  • Great band great song BUT the video editor should be taken out and shot .

  • If you want to see them live visit Dolina Charlotty near Slupsk in Poland on 25.07.2009r.

  • This is it ,my favourite tune ever, bar none by SLADE

  • Thanks for posting this! I love their version of this song, in fact, it's even better than Steppenwolf's. This version is just throbbing with energy

  • I like their cover of this almost more than I do Steppenwolf's original. However, I'm not saying that Steppenwolf didn't do a killer version

  • sound quality is iffy.

  • my names dannii slade...

    yay?~!

  • Great cover with the usual Slade energy, but would have been so much better without all the psychedelic shit.

  • If you never saw Slade.......I'm sorry, but you missed the best live band ever.....bar none!

  • Slade's rep over the years has been 'just another glam band'. Imagine Sweet, Trex, SQuatro, or Bowie performing this in 71. I think not.MC5 or The Stooges- not without Noddy. What where you expecting, a Badfinger cover?

  • You are so right! They are right up there w/the MC5 and the Stooges. Slade blows me away.

  • fab !

  • buy the slade alive album it simply rocks

  • Great video about the Port O Call, check out Pretty wild, check out Tom Slade, a wild child from Utah singing and dancing to "The Poker Donkey", a song about Bad Beats in No-Limit Texas Hold'em. If you do not know how the game is played, the song will not make sense...

  • Sounds fucking good tho' bruce and in those pre glam days (daze?) that's what it was all about. Thanks.

  • man....love the hardcore uncut slade

  • Hey, I clicked to see Slade and I've had to paw through shitloads of cartoon crap! This is BTBW and it sounds great. If you don't appreciate it f-off to another link and stop giving the host a hard time! Thanks for the post. ;-)

  • Video a bit of a mess but the SOUND is awesome. Thank-you

  • It's not about the quality or the details compressed beyond recognition, it is about that I can't see anything from Slade, only the static changing from positive to negative and everchanging colors. But if you don't have the b/w version anymore...

  • You can find the b/w version pretty easily here on YouTube. Please tell me if you can see that much more in the other version.

  • Ok, I found it, and you are right, you can't see much more, but it's not such an eye strain... Maybe it's just a matter of taste.

  • Has anyone got any vids/music from earlier Slade - Play Loud, Ambrose Slade, etc???

  • Actually, this is quite good...

  • I clicked this to SEE Slade. Can you upload the original b&w clip?

  • Dudes, I'm honestly sorry. What I uploaded looked like the original beta, now YouTube's internal codec obviously made total crap out of it. I wish I could link you to a still from my original DV file to proof it's not my fault, but YouTube doesn't allow URLs in posts.

  • What about uploading your (copy of the) original DV file, withhout adding "some dynamic colors"?

  • The original DV I'm talking about IS the one with the dynamic colors, at least concerning the quality. As I said, blame YouTube's .swf codec or whichever it is, not me. My guess is that there's too much detailed action going on so their codec automatically compresses it so hard, after all even the b/w intro turned out so bad as well.

  • the quality is here crap...but the audio is good, slade totally rock/rocked. i love thier vocal style, let it scream baby. jimmy the creep/7th day creeps.

  • Pop Shop was on RTB, a belgian TV. I was in the studio when it was shot.

  • would like to see the original clip

  • Don't you want to upload it at a higher resolution to show off your remastering job?
