I have the other two flipsides, Wild and Panic, and I know that all three are last breaking bowling balls, and I was thinking, how the hell is that thing moving like that, then i realize, you're throwing with 2 fingers with complete side turn!

how the hell do u hook that much? no matter how hard i try to hook it it will always gutter thrown from that position... maybe it's just the crappy balls i have to use at the alley

when u use a ball on the alley (called plastic ball) u will never get a clean hook... bcuz u can throw plastic balls on oily lanes just straight on...

u have to buy a reactive ball...

@pauLLLde you dont need a reactive ball....the pba even has a plastic ball tourney..watch pete weber hook the ball...i hook my Blue dot on a THS just as much as most people hook Burn's...you can be a good bowler with a plastic ball as long as u have a good approach for your style..Using a reactive ball just helps out more...its not needed, try the columbia 300 Bedlam for a really nice backend ball though

@Yuup21990 the players on that show were all power players, all with high rev rates. the lane condition was also a modified cheetah so it had less oil. either you are comparing yourself to those with Burn's that have low rev rates or you are using 2 fingers while they are using 3 in which obviously you can get more revs. try hooking your Blue dot on a sport pattern and it'll never bite

the fingetip insert are just to get better griping and so that you can just change the inserts instead of redrilling the ball if your hand grows

if your coming back into the game after a 3 year absence you dont want to jump back in with the black widow pearl. this ball is a VERY aggresive ball. depending on your oil patterns and conditions this ball is very hard to control. lot of reaction, takes pinpoint control, hook potential on this ball is high. the vortec is still a good ball, if you were throwing consistent with that before i would recommend staying with that or looking into something that is less aggresive, medium hook potential

hey can anyone give me some info. that knows a lot about bowling balls or whatever. i used to be into bowling but i stopped about 2 or 3 years ago i think.. so i wanna start again. i used to use this vortec or something? i think it was around 200$ and it was purple and blue... should i buy a better on eor is the one i have good? thanks

if you comming back into bowling. use ur old ball untill you get back in the grove. then look into a better ball.

I've never tired the widow pearl or bite. I have a friend how has the pearl and he cant keep it on the lane. he was a pro back in the day. ur old ball is good if your tring to come back. just clean it real good. I've heard of ppl useing dawn dishliqd. and hot water. it works. just dont expect ur ball to be like it was new. save some green and use ur ball for a few months then talk to ur proshop. Personally, I'm looking for a hammer hawg.

If the ball knocks the pins over and you're happy with the way you bowl, then leave it. I'm sure if a pro missed pocket and got a strike no one would say he was shit.

Why do you try to make the power groove look bad, obviously you don't like it from the two shots you chose to show. The power groove is not meant to be used stand really far left with no ball speed.

we bowl in all of the bowling allys in Columbus,OH

there is about 6-8 different bowling allys

all year i used about 3 different plastic bowling balls for different conditions

i adverage about 185-190....trust me it is possible

in a sense it does and in another it doesnt. Granted its harder to keep the same axis rotation and hit your spots, but being a cranker it gives you more ball forgiveness and a bigger pocket.

Not only that but all these people talking about how much hook he is getting would be to there benefit.. wrong; more like intimidated. Because he is throwing such a big hook he could throw his opponents' line off because that hook is breaking the lane down quick forcing the opponent to make adjustments. Granted though the kind of lane conditions that are involved.

those are some freeging impossible angles, especially with the flipside WOW, instead of throwing the ball across the whole lane, learn how to not muscle the ball so much and put some speed on it to help get the ball to read later, so you don't end up having to hook the whole lane.

I can tell you how *I* do it. Move way left, break your wrist back, start your pushaway higher. Extra speed, almost no rotation, end-over-end roll, hit your mark, that's a spare. Plastic ball can make it even easier.
