@tepeltje:The thing about these mercury tests is that they can be inaccurate especially if you have dental amalgam or eat fish with high mercury content. Also if you do have dental filling with mercury by just chewing gum or drinking hot liquids you will release mercury into your blood - getting a high result. I think vitamin D deficiency, high omega6:omega3 ratio, and replacement of symbiotic bacteria in the gut with bad through antibiotics/lowfiberdiet has a bigger impact on the immune system. Perhaps toxic substances in the environment play a role too, but I think leaky gut with an imbalanced immune system (TH-1 dominance) probably plays a bigger role because it leaks undigested material into the blood that the immune system can train to kill (example: gluten looks like thyroid tissue).

My mom was born and raised with her back yard backing up to this paper mill.
