There is a world of difference between the words "knelt" and " worshiped." A person can kneel before a king without worshiping him, but to worship someone signifies deity. People foolishly bow in worship to the Pope or various statues of saints or Mother Mary.

Catholics who deny that they are praying to (or worshiping) Mary are still in grievous violation of Exodus 20:5 for bowing to Mary.

Protestant religion still have maintained singing and music, and burning for example candles. Some spiritual movements within protestant churches include very powerful preaching, interaction with the priest and the audience in chant-like manner, or dancing.
