New Order just released a new record last year and have been touring all this year. So New Order is far from dead.

New order are on hiatus again, but is like they have split up. Without Hooky theres no New Order. And if the band try to carry on without him, i think it will never be the same.

I mean... come on!, where Bernard & Steven gonna find another kick-ass bass player like hooky?

I hope that the Freebass project have success, but i would love to see Monaco back in the business again.

Without Gillian there is no New Order wither - the albums without her influence really are bland. Gillian added the cheesy happy sounds New Order had.

IMO without her, their music is kinda depressing and dead. I hardly like any songs on the last two albums. The break off groups are better than New Order without her.

the last NEW order album was released 3 years ago, and their last gig was 2 years ago.

So.. well, i think will have to wait another 8 years to see the band again.
