Give the Clippers credit for hanging with the defending world champs, but they gave that game away at the end. It's debatable whether they would have won, but they definitely killed their chances to win by waiting until there were only 4 seconds left to foul. Terry Cummings scored with 19 seconds left and they let the Lakers not only pass the ball around, but advance it past halfcourt.
@Survivor87 This is only a guess, but it's possible that Sterling wanted to transition away from the logo and that recognizable look by that point. The season after this (83-84), they went to the red and blue scheme, repainted the floor and ditched the old sailcloth and Sun logo. This was still before they moved to LA.
@nonplayerzealot4 Good point, I forgot they went to the Laker style logo in San Diego before they moved. You can tell the floor panels here are lighter from where it was. Great game/upload by the way

Odd..why did the Clippers remove the logo from the center circle? this was still 2 years before they moved to L.A.
