I think it's more to do with poverty - this happens to more Latinos, Blacks, Native Americans because there are more of them living below the poverty line than whites in the US. Only 8.6 % of whites are in poverty whereas around 25% of minorities are living in poverty. This was a middle class person who didn't know what she was getting into which makes the case so much more unique.

I think it's more to do with poverty - this happens to more Latinos, Blacks, Native Americans because there are more of them living below the poverty line than whites in the US. Only 8.6 % of whites are in poverty whereas around 25% of minorities are living in poverty. This was a middle class person who didn't know what she was getting into which makes the case so much more unique.

I did not justify it in any way. If you can read, you'll see I stated that I think the war on drugs is an abject failure. I also stated I didn't think anything was wrong with pot. I just said it is illegal because there is a law against it ......not that it is right or proper or any thing. Unfortunately, they have the ability to make the law. It has to be changed at the ballot box.

In my opinion, Tallahassee Police Chief DENIS JONES should be sacked, yesterday! He's an absolute disgrace. The good people of Tallahassee deserve much better than this guy. Listening to his pathetic excuses and blame shifting made me very angry. Listening to him call her a criminal made me even angrier. I think DENIS JONES' actions here are more criminal than anything Rachel ever did.

First of all, a quarter pound is not a "baggie". That's totally deceiving. It's more like a freezer bag, possibly 1200USD.
