Missing counter glass and some other things. I need a closser look to the amps to be sure. Anyway, even it's not it's stil a great machine! Many hits recorded with this type off recorder. I've seen footage from the Golden Earing in the studio with in the background 3 EL3501's running.
Very nice machine! Philips is Dutch by the way, not German. I think the Philips pro-recorders were used in many studios in Holland. Pity they are pretty rare these days, even in Holland.
Cheers! Once again a very nice and interesting demonstration Seblington!
May you tell how old this recorder is? By the way: I´ve never seen Philips recorder in German radio stations... The allways used Telefunken or STUDER / ReVox.
Cheers, the recorder started live in 1955 and onwars, this is much later, the early ones were yellow and had valve electronics were this is transistor

Great lookin machine, Stuart.
Is it mono or stereo? Looks old enough to be mono, but one never knows...
Great job getting it back into operating condition.

Its a stereo recorder, a friend of mine has an 8 track 1/2" tape machine of this and I have seen a 4 track one too.

Thanks for that. I had no idea that Philips made a pro reel to reel machine. Interesting
