ha well CCWS did fold and the IRL saved them from total extinction, and why would the road racing F1 teams go to an oval dominated IRL? that wouldnt make sense
@westftballstar31 Your sequence of events is wrong. CCWS declared bankruptcy AFTER the merger agreement was met. Kalkhoven could have kept CCWS going at least another couple years if it didn't turn any further profits(it had a couple-thousand dollar profit in 2007 thanks to the increased TV exposure). The bankruptcy filing was to protect Kalkhoven and the IRL from litigation over broken race contracts.
PT has a home in Vegas. CCWS is not folding. The IRL that can't keep its drivers. Nigel Mansel sons just signed for Walking racing (in atlantics). So, this year, we had a team move over from F1 to champ car (team Minardi). Now we have the Mansel name returning to champ car. How come Mansel did not choose the IRL? How come a F1 team moved over to Champ car and not the IRL? Further more, having Mansels sons in Atlantics they can move up to champ car. Thus, the future looks very well for champ car.
