Napoleon was a brilliant leader of men and had conquered most of europe before Wellington put a stop to him, to say he epically failed is just stupidity, we won die to a number of lucky advantages and down to wellington being an equally great commander so learn your history before posting drivel on here.

P.S. there was no real decleration, you where a colony not a country so you can't. what was declared was a revolution not a war
