The fact is when using Macs you can't get a virus. Your Mac can't crash either. You got a powerful and future proof system if you get a Mac and it's all worth the price. If you can't afford it, stick with a PC, but if you want to spend less on upgrades and anti-virus software in the future you'd be better off buying a Mac ('cause it would be cheaper).

Actually his cancer was treatable but he chose some very expensive alternative treatment as he didn't want to be sick with chemo, it initially appeared to work, but then returned with vengeance and was classed as terminal, if he would of had the regular treatment advised by standard hospitals when they said he should of had it he would still be alive, if he didn't have all that money he wouldn't have had a choice

Dennis Ritchie made Computers possible. He developed UNIX, C, and something more which i do not remember. Without these program languages, Pc's would probably not exist as we know of today.

Is all that extra "goodness" really worth 3/4 the price tag?

Think about it, you have to upgrade PC's regularly to keep up with the extra performance needed for the latest games AND buy anti-virus software every year. On Macs you don't need upgrades or anti-virus software. Eventually the cost of all the upgrades will add up to MORE than the cost of a Mac Pro, and far more than the iMac. And like I said before, Macs don't crash so your components will also last much longer.

The reason you don't see many macs get viruses is because they don't get targeted like windows computers do. Actually his cancer was treatable but he chose some very expensive alternative treatment as he didn't want to be sick with chemo, it initially appeared to work, but then returned with vengeance and was classed as terminal, if he would of had the regular treatment advised by standard hospitals when they said he should of had it he would still be alive, if he didn't have all that money he wouldn't have had a choice

If you want to play games on a Mac you'd have to install Windows separately, but Xeon's aren't for gaming. You can keep an iPhone 4S for as long as you want, I'm not saying I'm going to upgrade to the latest model every half a year, in fact, nobody is. Oh, and have you ever seen a Mac crash? No. Have you ever seen a deadly virus on a Mac? No. There are far more reasons why Macs cost so much.

And however unfortunate it may be that the specifications of the server you were talking about would set you back $10'000 from the Apple store while the base components would cost around... $2770 For the most part Apple would say that 64GB of RAM costs around $5000 when in reality you shouldn't be paying over $700. Is all that extra "goodness" really worth 3/4 the price tag?

Think about it, you have to upgrade PC's regularly to keep up with the extra performance needed for the latest games AND buy anti-virus software every year. On Macs you don't need upgrades or anti-virus software. Eventually the cost of all the upgrades will add up to MORE than the cost of a Mac Pro, and far more than the iMac. And like I said before, Macs don't crash so your components will also last much longer.

The reason you don't see many macs get viruses is because they don't get targeted like windows computers do.
