Ford also drew up plans for a 4 door version of this car. It was to be called the "Berline". It had te same styling, but it never saw the light of day because low sales prompted it to be dropped for `58 when the huge new Continental was introduced. You can see it in a book called "Cars that Never Were", A Consumers Guide book from the early 80`s. It would have been nice.
Gorgeous car.... Didn't think anything like this was still in the San Diego area! I never see them anymore... I have a 74 mark IV and a 69 mark III. Would love to add a Mark II to the collection but I could probably never afford it! -Best
