  • Hi - I am the perfomer, many thanks for your compliments!

The dulcimer was made by my OH. It's maple top with mahogany back and sides. It's long (31" string length from bridge to nut) and he made it with the extra 1.5 fret in it for playing flattened 3rds. Tuning is AEa.

I am not using a traditional noter, rather I am using a Dunlop glass slide more usually used for blues guitar. The action is quite high on the strings in order to accommodate slide playing without rattling against the frets.

  • Lovely version, thanks for posting. What tuning do you have your dulcimer in?

  • wow!... Just wow!

  • Great performance both voice and playing.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Nice job. Love the song, we do a more rock-y blues version at my church. Never thought to play slide on the song but I'll bet that'd mix up nicely with a little banjo, some mando, and perhaps even a mandocello.

  • That was rather enjoyable! WONDERFUL voice and awesome dulcimer too!

  • Don't often see a mtn dulcimer played with a noter. Quite refreshing. Excellent work. Good singing too.
