  • No she isn't. I'm a male and she's a female (supposedly). Enough said!

  • toolbag fail!

  • HA!

  • just tel me when you wannt to kill me and why?

  • lol

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • This isn't the toolbag. It looks like a really bright star to the south/south east. At dusk on a clear night you can see it before any of the actual stars. Its not moving that fast, she didn't throw the fucking thing

  • No, this is the tool bag. It has been independently verified. Keep in mind, the Shuttle and Space Station are traveling at several thousand miles an hour as they orbit Earth. Even though the bag just floated away, there is already plenty of momentum and no atmosphere up there to slow it down.

  • Are you pissed the earth spins at about a 1000 mile per hour of course its moving fast

  • @rsinclair1971 18000

  • whats it like being stupid ?

  • This is what happens when a women tries to do a mans job.

Probably a connection here on why women can never remember where they left their damn car keys or purse!!

  • lol

  • LMFAO

  • @spidersinspace Shes probably still smarter than you.

  • this did happen people, please watch the news before you comment wrong I guess wearymanblogger should have left a news sight in the info slot like CNN or BBC

  • hahaha...

  • wheeee!!!

  • omg that is sooo wierd!!! and amazing!!!! i saw this you tube video on cnn news!!

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • What is the speed?Well just being curious...

  • You're a fucking idiot pal. Race or gender has nothing to do with it.

  • It is ok i dont blame you i blame your education.

  • I think we should send more monkeys up into space..they look funny floating around..would you volunteer?

  • Great another ignorant bigot. Go fuck yourself.

  • Woahh thats one fast moving toolbag :)

  • Is it also considered an artificial satellite?

  • People on Spaceweather(dot)com think that... :D

  • Then, if I kick really, really, really really hard my soccer ball around the planet, will it also be an artificial satellite? :D

  • Let's try! :P

  • lost luggage at airports is getting ridiculous

  • oh i was wondering where that went

  • you can find a bag but not aliens or can you ?

  • The reason for the fast speed could be that the video was shot through a telescope at high magnification and so not much of the sky is actually represented hence making it appear to travel far across the sky when in fact it was only a tiny fraction of the night sky. Such a small object would not be very visible so me thinks this is why it appears to go so fast despite it's distance from observation.

  • Anything in Earth orbit must travel at a minimum of 17,500 mph to maintain itself in orbit. That would appear pretty fast across your line of sight. The bag is white or a very light grey in color. It, and its contents, would be certain to burn up on reentry.

  • Man that thing went by awful fast.

  • Just a dude that wants to see if he can fool the world that he has spotted this particular bag.

  • its real you douche bag dont you read the news a girl astro named Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper

lost her bag worth 7500 eouro in space! the bag contained tools. get some info before you act smart

  • how does it go so fast and how can we see it from so far away?? i feel stupid but i want to know

  • objects have to go really fast (on the order of several km/s) to stay in orbit around the earth. look up "orbit" on wikipedia for a helpful diagram.

  • But wouldn't it look like it was going a lot slower to us down here? It just seems to be moving really fast.

  • i think the person fast forward it

  • wow, that's kinda funny

  • is it falling?

    where it will go?

  • down to somewhere in the earh

  • Zooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom

  • Lost Toolbag? I was wondering where Bill O'Riley went....

  • if only we were so lucky!

    this video's pretty nifty/funny though.

  • Why did this make me laugh? It's just some high speed tools orbiting the earth.

  • This is my favorite video on Youtube, it made me laugh so hard!!!

  • haha dats funy.

  • If the bag were her with the lipstick and brush it not lost hauhauhauahuahuah

  • Women and their handbags. Now she need a new one! (And probably some shoes too)

  • to clear up the cost , its $100,000 witch its around £67,000 at the current exchange rate

  • Sorry I Put So Much Haha's But I Hit Post Comment Instead Of Audio Preview Because Haha Loads Of Times Sounds Funny

  • That does not prove anything. It could be anything passing in front of the lens.

Sorry I`m not convinced, not one iota.

  • In a couple of weeks aliens will land in front of the Pentagon, knock on the door, say 'This is yours' and fly off again...I bet :|

  • this is strangely amusing lmao

  • Great!!! now watch that hit something, a satellite or even the space station and then we are all doom lol.

  • this tool box cost about £100.000

  • It was £66,000. Not 100,000

  • £100k For A Hammer, Screwdriver And A Wrench

Yes I Know It's Not The Tools Used, But That's Whats In A Normal Tool Box Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • I bet we'll see this toolbag on eBay in less that 10 years!

  • It may be fake, but major news networks all have this video linked to their website, with an interview of the guy that captured the footage. I say it's real, and he was just lucky it was reflecting enough light.

  • Pay close attention as it goes past, you only have a short time to wave good-bye to your tax dollars before they burn up on re-entry.

  • just a stock video of a satellite orbiting earth. you can download this stuff all day long.

  • I hope it falls in my garden, I need new tools hahaha!

  • Roll Tide.

  • If it is made by Craftsman you may be able to get a free replacement.

  • lol

  • Original source or provenance of the video, please?

Considering the other 4 videos that you have posted, I have to call BULLSHYT on this one.

    Funny, but fake.

  • Nice catch.

  • I find it hard to believe that a bag of tools no bigger that a duffel bag would burn as brightly as a football field sized comet in the sky.

  • It's cos it's so close, much closer than a comet anyway

  • It's traveling at 17,000 MPH.....Give or take a few hundred.

  • I wonder if they're gonna deduct the $100,000 cost of the tools and toolbag from the astronaut's paycheck?...

  • oops...

  • If that's really the toolbag, can you imagine how fast that thing must be going?

  • Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to earth we go.......

  • uhhmmm. who's to say that's the tool bag? what gives it obvious tool bag characteristics to say that it's legitimate?

  • Umm, I think its just trajectory and a series of estimates that are way over my head. and with that estimate, looking in that regiond of space, at that certain time, chances are thats what it is. Buuut, to be honest i have no clue. Thats just my opinion.

  • I'm with you. Hell I have never believed this 'space traveling' thing. So I am not sure if I believe that some tool bag was lost in space and THIS is it..

  • "Greased Lightnin', Go Greased Lightnin"

  • .

That's for sure, I can see the handles.

  • Ha ha!

Zip! There goes a hundred grand!

Good job. Impressive calculations and thank you for sharing. : )

  • Geez, a hundred grand for a tool box with a couple of grease guns and rags in it . . . although, they did pay 50K for a toilet !!!

  • Yeah.. impressive amount considering its just a modified vacuum!

  • Do you think normal toilets work in space? There's no GRAVITY in space. Of course they need something a little bit more expensive.

  • It should be noted, I did not make this video myself, nor was I the amateur astronomer that took the video. I simply had the presence of mind to both download it from the Slashdot article link, and then to post it as a response to the raw video of the toolbag being lost. I wouldn't want to take credit for someone else's great camera work.

  • THAT'S AWESOME

  • woah hhaha

  • ...and this is why women should not be astronauts.

  • orrrrr it's just a random meteorite

  • im jjust curios how they know its that tool bag?

  • This video was downloaded from the Slashdot article about the toolbag. The video has been independently confirmed, as the toolbag's trajectory and orbital path is known.

  • With any luck, it'll survive re-entry and land in my backyard.

    Ebay FTW

  • lol

  • Gahahahaha! to let that thing go, must cost millions.

  • $100,000.

  • ah thx, for info.

  • if anything, that has to be extraterrestrial

  • lol

  • Fastest toolbag of all time. VaVa....Voooom!!

  • I doubt it.

  • Hey, that's my Cat!!!

  • fake

  • hmmmm, looked more like a makeup kit

  • this had rick roll potential!

  • definately.

  • Interesting.

  • ha ha. it will be there for our children's children, where they'll tell the tale over and over again and chuckle.

  • freakin toolbag

  • Sí, era la caja de herramientas de Bob el constructor. Se ve la etiqueta en el medio. Ains, la miopía...

  • the most famous toolbag of all times, lol

  • yo creo que era superman

  • Me parece que he visto un cáncamo.

  • lol? y como se yo que eso es la bolsa de herramientas?

  • Yo alcanzo a ver el martillo

  • Podría ser cualquier cosa

  • Boldly going, where no toolbag has gone before. :)
