  • It was giving you the evil eye at 0:54 and thinking, "I will exterminate you once I get inside my Dalek shell"

  • how did it know which direction to go?

  • looks like a poorly co-ordinated spider

  • Octopodes are the shit.

  • that totally looked like an alien. poor octopus

  • That wasn't chlorinated water you poured on him, was it?

  • @aronchai No, don't worry, that was water from sea. For everyone, i love animals, i don't want to kill them...

  • Far too many aquarium workers have discovered the amphibiousness and dexterity of octopus when crabs begin to go missing nightly from nearby tanks.

  • finally Squidward got away from spongebob : )

  • Slither to freedom little dude!

  • lol

  • awww

  • what if those thing evolve and get intellient? If that happens octopuses will conker the planet and they will be the next humans! lol

  • Ima put a leash on it

  • THE END IS NEAR! RUN!

  • That's awesome, but creepy... I guess this is what Lovecraft got some of his ideas from O.o...

  • @Sparx1 Well duh :)

  • THAT IS ADORABLE.

  • Octopusia and his journey to freedom! :D

  • I wonder if there is any sort of insulating gel that could allow octopuse to take prolonged excusions onto land? perhaps cover it with sand and dirt and have it dry over to become a sort of artificial skin (probably resembling pacydermal skin, almost analogous to that described by Wells in War of the Worlds)?

  • i've heard stories of octopi spotted scavenging/hunting along shorelines. see how it moves with ease, just sad a slug could'nt escape from this sea creature...ON LAND!

  • some are.

  • i dont mean me 2 sound like a tree hugger (even tho i kinda am) y couldnt u have just released it closer to the water?

  • @pnkdncngrl Yeah... if nobody's noticed recently... octopi are kind of water animals, you know?

  • @Macr888 There was a pet store once. The owners, or employees noticed that overnight, there were fish disapearing in that tank. They finally put up a security camers and found out that there octopus, at night got out of it's own tank, went across the room, into the other tank, had it's midnight snack, then got back in it's own tank, putting the lids back on both tanks.

  • @RainbowRose1000

are u serious? thats fukn crazy. is there an article about it or something?

  • @froggydog1 I'm sure there is. I read it in my science book.

  • @Macr888 Hahahahaha, that made me laugh. By the way, the correct plural form of the word "octopus" is either octopodes (pronounced oc-top-o-dees), octpods, or octopuses. It's not octopi as cactus would be cacti. That is because cactus is a Latin word so it ends in "i" in it's plural form. Octopus is Greek, so it's not "octopi". I thought that was kind of cool! :D

  • @pnkdncngrl they can live for times up to half an hour out of water. because they are beastly.

  • @pnkdncngrl yeah looks kinda hard to walk like that.. and I assume hard to breathe as well. I'm not an animal activist or anything, just observant.

  • @pnkdncngrl Oh my, I was illiterate two years ago! It makes me kind of mad, actually.... Wow.

  • For a sea creature they move great on land.

    I love octopi.

  • i dont want to seem like a hippi or anything but i mean it was cool that you let it go it just looked like it was suffering like it couldnt breathe??? idk

  • As long as there's water stored in its siphon, an octopus can survive on land.

  • That video has freaked me out! Im never going near a beach again. Theyre going to take over!!

  • octopuses live in the water, but they can move on land.

  • Its kinda cute! ^_^

  • Most are quite small but some are human size, such as the North Pacific Giant Octopus or the Seven-Arm Octopus.

  • Go to google images and type in the phrase "lusca: giant octopi" for archival photos of a huge octopi.

  • Thanks for uploading this. They are fascinating animals and it's really cool to see one crawling along the ground!

  • Wow. This sort of reminds me of King Kong vs Godzilla with that Giant Octopus.
