  • You should also pay attention to language used in Tour brochures. There is a BIG difference between "view", "see" and "visit". "Centrally located" is another one...central to what, exactly? "Meals included"...really? Which meals? Is the menu limited to only a few items or do you have your choice? Must you take your meals at the hotel or are there also restaurants you can go to?

If in doubt about language or presentation, contact a really good travel agent who can interpret.

  • thanks peter thats good information!

  • Brochures's languages diabolic as "disclaimer" in the bottom of any invoice... thanks Peter!!

  • Best,Greatest,Most Finest Video ive seen! :]

  • Excellent!

  • same with housing ads

  • I actually had a reverse situation with a condo I own and was trying to rent out. A management company that I contract with to oversee the place (since I'm out-of-town) placed ads that said "near public transportation". In this case, the condo was right at public transportation. I wanted language in the ad that emphasized the closeness, but they said they had to adhere to standard industry terminology. Maybe because of so many instances where the more exact terms had been so misleading!
