  • (Beautiful) game misspelled that word.

  • Best 10 players in no order, by the means of good football: Ronaldo (Brazilian), Ronaldinho, Zidane, Oli Kahn, Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore, Johan Cruyff, Platini, Pele and Bergkamp. The 10 players with the best completed careers in the history of football defining the word of football.

Reason for not picking some players like Messi etc is because they barely finished their careers, people like Messi, C Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ozil, they still have so much left to do for football.

Lol; dude he was on ManU. During the Golden Days, he played very well

  • thx to mourinho football has become more about tactic than the fun we had with ronaldinho the guy made the best feints no look pass his scissors better than c ronaldo's i miss that ronaldinho

  • so what's the meaning of football ??... sorry but I don't think I like your video

  • this video is not to discuss who the best player is, is about the best GAME there is, is true some people choose other sports, but soccer chooses his people, and those that are choosen, they will...

  • nice video

  • whatis this song??/

  • to describe Maldini as a bull is an offense to this legendary defender, Maldini can be defined as elegant classy determined, but he is not aggresive like a bull, he takes the ball away with minimal phyiscal contact than any other defender i have ever seen, this is because he reads spaces better than anyone and times his interceptions to perfection.

  • i fuckin love football i love westham so much football means the world to me its like a religion

  • every player has his own style of playin and for me CR is the best =)

    Football=LIFE =) =) =)

  • wtf? you said football... not tricks.. theres a difference ffs

  • best comment iv seen all day - thannks for that!

  • @mihau77 and nesta and pirlo.

  • Ronaldinho in his prime was a perfect example of the meaning of football. He was always happy and having fun while also being worlds best player.

  • joga bonito for life

  • pele,cruyff,van basten.puskas.beckenbauer.zidane.yashin.garrincha,bergkham.maradona.zico.best.bagio.platini.

  • @zolosjr agree with all except bergkamp he was good but not a legend

  • i agree with miro2ros, cruyff was the most talented football player ever. everyone prefers forwarders, but if pelé played with cruyff in 1 team, im sure he would have scored 2000 goals! cruyff is the best and no one can change my mind. and o yeah, cristiano ronaldo is very good, but he become populair to young thats why his ego growed and much people hate him.

  • Like your own list better

  • Wow, both lists are very off, there is no Platini, Zico, Gerd Müller, and there is Beckham, that is outrageous!!

Also Beckham is ahead of Garrincha...wow!

  • Comment removed

  • Well, since football for you is surely something different than football for the maker of the video, I'm quite sure you would never share the same opponion about the meaning of football.

    Que?

  • so make your own list..

  • if you want to know what is the meaning of football than you have to play it ? i all ready make that question to my self. And NOW I AM A FOOTBALL PLAYER.

  • My list : 1º Cristiano Ronaldo - hate him or love him, he is just the best. 2º Maradona - "GOD given talent" 3º Ronaldinho - the most beautifull playing football, who knows never forgets. 4º Pele - incredible technique 5º Eusebio - Speed demon 6º Van basten - incredible scoring ability 7º Zidane - MAGIC 8º Luis Figo - beautifull to watch 9º Zico - his freekicks, just amazing. 10º Mario Kempes - " El matador "
  • Nice list, but how can you leave Cruyff out and Beckenbauer, Van Basten, Zico, Figo and even Ronaldinho were all great but they were not the greatest !

  • those 2 were great to, but for me the best players are those who can do everything with the ball. Mostly God technique.

  • Well, how can you leave Litmanen out?

    There is so many opinions..

  • Hahahaha ... you are right ! Litmanen is in the top ten of best number 10's. As an Ajax man i of course love Litmanen but he is very good, but not top 5 or top ten all times.

  • no offence but i hate c.ronaldo

    he sucks!!!

  • Agree. I can't deny he's good, though i don't like his style at all. It seems like he's saying "hello, i'm so good at dribbling you that you'll have to break me a leg to stop me" And someday someone will answer "yes, just let me aim at your legaments..."

  • By the way Eusebio was born in mozambique in 1942 and Moçambique was Portugal, it wasnt independent. So he is a European.

  • Dude, u cant be serious when you say this is the meaning of football. Come on, you think the essence and heart of football is in dribbling? Put a kid to do some fancy footwork and call it talent. Talent is how much you give of yourself to the team and game. Talent lies in people who make the game beautiful despite what are the wages. In football, you've got to admire player who play their 110% in the field, regardless of circumstances.

  • BVB!

  • Government Ministers with any conceiveable talent in any field apart from professional bullshitting would be a start though, wouldn't it!

  • The first songs name is Bloc Party - Helicopter

  • i love it how you didnt name ronaldinho

  • whats the name of the first song

  • who ever says the premiership needs to limit the amount of foreign players is mad. foreign players and owners make the premier league the best league in the world if the english were good enough managers would not have to look abroad

  • We didn't qualify for the Euro's though did we? Arsenal for example have regularly fielded a team without a single English player. You can't tell me that is good for the game. A lot of foreign talent are complete flops when they come over. They get into teams at the expense of nurturing young talent or signing from lower league or non-league clubs like we used to do. I agree that the premiership is the best league in the world, but the England team is suffering as a result.

  • i do agree that the national team is suffering because of foreign player. but that is because foreign managers no the talent in their countries better thnat here. if u look at most successfull prem managers except sir alex most of them come from good footballing nations where football at grass roots is very good. now as a young aspiaring footballer the talent here is hardre to be nurtured as most sunday league teams are over priced

  • Yep. Some Premiership youth academys are going in the right direction though. Villa for example have nurtured some good talent, but i think it's not enough and we can't compete when all the cash is in the top league and virtually none gets filtered down to the lower leagues - where the talent gets spotted in the first place.

  • very true but when people say there is not enough facilities they dont know what they are talking about. i want to be a footballer and the facilities are ther but the coaching techniques are sometimes questionable. e.g i sometimes do "long ball relay" in training which does not enhanse our technical ability. in other countries like holland these coaching techniques would never be used.

  • From time to time a Government minister or ex olympian (or in Seb Coe's case both), will get involved in a "Sport at grass roots" drive. Thing is though you never here about it again until it's election time. We need not only good coaches but a sustained interest in giving kids an option in their lives to explore their talent without hinderence. Lottery money isn't enough on it's own.

  • yes very true but we need government ministers that were not professional sportsman because as we have seen with platini who thought that football should be a sport with less contact people who were very gifted are often not good at the ligistics of a sport.

  • On the plus side Scotland look like they have a talented team. They were unlucky not to qualify for the Euros. I think they deserved it more than the English. I look forward to them qualifying for the World Cup and handing a few teams their asses

  • very unlucky, its quite a feat when your squad manages to beat world cup finalists!,lol.

  • Absolutely

  • "The Beautiful Game"

Oh my god, that was an awesome video

    15/10

    !!!!

  • I add U.K. players - George Best(I can't believe you'd pick Beckham over him, i mean COME ON)), Alan Shearer, Paul Gascoigne, Ryan Giggs, Bobby Charlton, Alan Ball, Bobby Moore, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Stuart Pearce, Gary Neville, David Seaman(Euro96 era.)Not all flair players admittedly but a team with only flair will be shit.

  • your list is good, but in terms of need only people i would give any consideration is ferdinand or terry, best was "good", but beckham has exceptional talent on the sides, his crossing and passing are superb and when he steps up to take a free kick you just know its gonna curl in. and having the worlds highest price on his head just highlights those qualities. and a 100 caps help too. and has a host of awards, hes just gotta be in it

  • It is my opinion that George Best is the greatest player of all time.

Don't get me wrong, United era Beckham had a pinpoint deep cross that could hit a penny, but he still isn't George Best. He can go on the bench with Alan Hansen, Roy Keane, Stanley Matthews and Gary Lineker. George Best goes on the right with Giggs on the left and Gazza through the middle with Charlton.

  • Alan Shearer is the Best Goalscorer the Premiership has ever seen so he gets in the team, partnered with Michael Owen circa'98. Stuart Pearce gets in for his work ethic and natural leadership and Neville, Ferdinand and Terry are quite simply some of the finest defenders this country has produced in many a year.

  • were also taking consistency, work ethic and teamwork into account, georgie was a drunk, shearer is class but never perfomed as brilliantly at world stage, and what i see you doing is an all star british team, lol. if it was an all star british team, it would be banks, ferdinand, terry, cole, neville, lampard, sir bobbie, gerrard, beckham, giggs, best and upfront Garry Lineker. Consistency is what makes players great, Maldini and Nedved are fine examples of this

  • Garrincha wasn't exactly a saint but i noticed you've got him down. And i said in my first post it was a u.k. team. And i think Seaman in his prime was better than Banks. Pearce over Cole any day of the week. Beckham has no pace, never had. He is a dead ball specialist and if the game is'nt being played that way is totally ineffective, whereas Best could turn a game in a single move, as all footballing geniuses do.

  • yeah, but garrincha is the father of the dribble, if it wasnt for his drinking problem he could have been much higher. Beckaham yes doesnt have any pace, but his ability to shoot and pass make up for it, just as raul has no pace but reacts instinctively and gets the goals, I do agree on you on the seaman point. But what i don't understand is, why cant the british perform at world stage, they undoubtedly have talent but being knocked out by croatia isnt really mighty

  • I agree with Ian Wright when he says it's not a lack of talent but a lack of focus due to the immense wealth given to even mediocre players at a young age.

I think wage capping should be introduced.

I also think it's not healthy for a starting 11 in an English club to consist either mainly or entirely of overseas players. I would like to see limits to how many foreign players are allowed per team sheet.

  • thx
