@JessaMesss That's a shame, because some say this is his best film. Eyes Wide Shut is gorgeously filmed, but the plot seems far-fetched, like a dream. I believe it's based on some German novel, so that might be worth reading. The "theme" appears to be mistrust and jealousy, but knowing Kubrick, there'd be many hidden layers in it. I saw it twice and am still baffled by what its about, but if it was slashed, well, no wonder it seems strange.
