What is more, I do not believe that gay people are worse or something, because I think that they are looking for the same things like straight ones, but in their own gender. But it is well known that it is very unlikely. Most gays have got a lot of partners during their life and hardly ever find this what they really seek. It could come to the situation that a need of cares and loving would be replaced with seeking another sexual partners. It is very sad.

It is not just my opinion, I read a lot of psychology. Of course it is more complex. What is more there are some kind of therapies which can help such a people to "come out straight". If there is some kind of biologically based homosexuality it is a very small percentage of whole gay community. That is why therapy could be very effective.

The truth is that gay people are the people from not proper family. They haven't had a father or haven't got the proper psychical contact with him. He is looking for a male approval - a male love. But it can be not because his dad sucked (I mean metaphorically), but also the mother could have been too protective. It was her boy and didn't give him enough space to become a man. I went to Mount Si this year, and witnessed the MLK assembly and the Day of Silence. I was a member of the GSA there too. I took class with the teacher McCormick who called Rev Hutch out as a hypocrite. I grew up in Phoenix. Mesa is in the greater Phoenix area, by the way. I remember only one openly gay kid when I was in school. I'm surprised that he didn't commit suicide for the way he was treated.

This year was my first day of silence and I didnt talk the whole day. Despite my covservative city, most of my friends supported me and even people who I didnt know. It suprised me how many people will stand by you if you put yourself out there. I got a couple of haters too, saying why should I support "fags". But I just stared at them and smiled. I'm gay. I personally didn't participate (for a few reasons, primarily because it was my last day of school), but I did take the time to remember and wish the victims peace. I really have to agree with how stupid it was the way people reacted. I know it was to be expected, but it doesn't make it any less appalling, especially from the religious fundamentalists. Isn't one of the missions of being a Christian in particular to find brotherhood in all others through Christ?

i totally did the day of silence, it was hot.
except for kids at my school did the "day of truth" which is basically them saying that god doesn't approve of gays. and they wore shirts with a guy and a girl on them. they were pretty douchey.

I found out about your youtube a few days ago (looking @ Larry King participating news video bout DOS) but your hilarious may I add.
I participate in DOS and everything went good, just some kids having no respect for us wanting to remain silent & wanted us 2 talk- I will say I didn't face any problems with anti-gay remarks. thats one beneficial thing about going to a small school of roughly 1500-ish kids.
I made it through the whole school day but after when I did talk it hurt my throat XD

EXACTLY! people are just so hateful, its like, why would you spend so much of your time hating a group so much? for doing nothing but being who they are. it is one thing to dislike a particular group for actually doing something, like al qaeda because oh what they have done, but just hating a particular group because a book says you are supposed is just ignorant. I just don't understand why there is so much hate, like i sit back and think about how superfluous harbering that much hate is.

I grew up in Phoenix. Mesa is in the greater Phoenix area, by the way. I remember only one openly gay kid when I was in school. I'm surprised that he didn't commit suicide for the way he was treated.

i was so happy because one of my teachers totally supported the day of silence, like i participated, and she asked what it was for, and i wrote it down and she was totally in support of me doing it, i almost cried because in such a homophobic school it was amazing to see that there are still good people out there...

This year was my first day of silence and I didnt talk the whole day. Despite my covservative city, most of my friends supported me and even people who I didnt know. It suprised me how many people will stand by you if you put yourself out there. I got a couple of haters too, saying why should I support "fags". But I just stared at them and smiled. So in the end I won. I would have to say that this has been one of the most meaninful days of my life. Thank you Larry, where ever you are.
