buy some moth balls, boil theme until they disolve, add 1tspn bleach and pour into hole and they will disappear. I have no idea where they go, I did have at least 9 hole in my yard, now there all gone. nice yard though.
Thanks! I wish I hadn't had to mix it down to such low quality. This was actually a town right next to Brownsville, I hope that wasn't deceptive. I forgot it wasn't exactly in Brownsville, but it was in very close proximity. It may have been Alamo.ETA: I am so embarrassed. I just checked and it is 53 miles away from Brownsville. I am so sorry to have made this mistake.
Heh...no problem....like i said though, great camera work...most video of these smaller critters usually make them look like dots moving on the ground, you actually got close-ups of them.
Whoa, are there fire ants up north? I just stepped in three different hills today and got pinched/stung up. Nasty little things! Thanks a lot for your comment, and your rating :)
That's really an amazing video! Thanks! What do they use the leaves for? Food? Or to build their nest? I'm glad I'm not an ant, they have to work waaay too hard!
They don't actully eat it. They take it down in thier nests. Then they chew the leafs and mixes it with thier spit. And then a kind of mold starts to grow and it is the mold the ants are eating. Im sorry for my bad english.
That's really interesting! I like blue cheese, so maybe the mold tastes good ;) Thanks OK about your English, there aren't too many mistakes :) And thanks for subscribing! What's your native language?
Poor little tree. Those ants are huge! Awesome video...I'm watching it with my 8 yr. old nephew, Kale...and we think you did a great job. Oh, those "pricker things" look awful. And, the music is O.K.
Totlay love the music. It goes very well with thte picture. 5*'s for you. :)

It was at Bibleville, I believe. It's some sort of retirement community.

Nice video. I love these animals... I captured two Atta queens and posted a video of them digging. They are very big...

Thanks so much :) I'm glad you liked the footage, and doing this project definitely piqued my interest in doing macro camera work.

Wow, those are weird! Kinda scary how such little things can do so much destruction.

Yeah it is amazing! Consider the ant and be wise, I believe it says in the book of Proverbs.

Bonnie, it was interesting. I don't think we have those ants in Australia! Very persistent little things arent they?

Thanks :) And you're welcome. I'm sorry the quality is so bad! I didn't realize it was going to be so grainy when I made it smaller.

Good question! I think they eat it, but I'm not 100% sure. They sure do move a lot of it though.

Lol, yeah, I bet you don't have those nasty prickers in AK! We don't have them in MA either, thankfully :)

That was cool. I can't believe the trail they had carved through the grass.
