The mission, however, isn't mass murder and destruction though. On the contrary, it's building. The Taliban holds power because it halts the advance of people there. The Taliban denies regular Afghans things like electricity and education. They walk into towns and behead and hang good people for alleged crimes you and I wouldn't even consider crimes (i.e. teaching girls to read).
And I didn't support going into Iraq. I believed in going into Afghanistan (friend of mine over there now with the territorials believe in it too) because we went there after being attacked on 9/11/2001 and again on 7/7/2005.
