  • We'll Miss You Pete-379 - Thanks For Sharing! I'm The Sign Man at Drivers Pit Stop (Retired Truck Driver) You really don't know what your missing till you hang up your keys! "Best Wishes Drivers"

  • Wonderful video, the trucks are wonderful. Whats name of the music of video?

  • To see torqoe ck the pete out @semi truck drag racing ...click on the first video and watch this street looking pete with 130000 lbs on pull the front wheel and laugh ur ass off...ur welcome in advance

  • I wonder how much torque the strongest Peterbilts make.

  • Buddy of mine got a legacy ...sweet lookin....check engine light......check engine light.....see repair shop......

  • C'mon dude u haven't got showtime the peterbilt 379 from england in there

  • Lost of sick looking trucks here, I love it. Beautiful airbrush work and crazy graphics.

Makes me miss fixing them for a living (but my back said NO MORE!), and long nose "Petes" were a favorite. Straight forward and simple to fix. From a PM to U-joints, to a clutch, to an engine re-build.

My favorites are at 2:51,and 3:01, long, low, black, and EVIL looking.

  • good job on the tribute. i drive a 379 and its a true american classic

  • best truck ever built

  • thumbs up if you only looked this up for optimus prime

  • hate to tell you this as a guy whospops owns a 359 and as a guy who owns a 379 and a 389 theres really no difference besides some updates here and there but i do see much difference whether im driving pops' ol '85 359 my '88 379 or my '08 389 all with CAT power and yes you could get an 08 with a CAT and they all have 550hp except my 88 which has a 900hp CAT 3408 :D

  • Is anyone else thinking Joy Ride?

  • PETERBILT 379 RULES

  • I think this video is great

  • My dad just got one of these. It's an awesome truck!

  • just wandering where you found the pic of the one at 2.28

  • @hondaboya do you really expect me to remember from over a year ago????? haha but in all seriousness google is the answer.

  • Красивая музыка, красивое видео!

  • Best truck ever made! They should have never stopped making them!

  • OPTIMUS!!!!

  • Transformers movie is the coz I am here :D

  • nice job , good music choice

  • I'm actually looking at doing a personal import of a 379 into Australia converting it to Right hand drive and using it as my daily hauler, As Unfortunatly We dont get them here and I absolutly love em

  • @my90tp do the import.....keep the left hand drive, it would be unique

  • @my90tp best rigs on the planet!

  • @toyomore I hear you there, That's Why I Want one, When I get one imported I'm Thinking Jet Metallic Black with The Chrome Grille, Low rider Front Bar (but not to low considering Aussie Roads) Chrome Full Fenders over the Rear Tandom axle, Chrome air cleaner's and the Tanks, Steps etc in Stainless Steel Thatch / cheqer plate for Grip getting in and out the cab and tougher outter shell for the Tanks as Aussie Roads in sections are Horriable gotta protect the belly of the beast

  • 1:28 HOT.

  • gr8 video and music !!! 10x

  • Great video!

  • 359,,,379 they will long live as the old school trucks that represent the American Trucker,,,,the 389,,,well,,,it represents the new out of driving school,,,dont own a c.b.,,,,cant drive without a g.p.s.,,,,how do you read a map truck drivers,,,,,

  • @kennyk1972 i like the analogy but at the same time it disrespects me. im not even old enough to get my az but my dad, his brother, and his dad were all truck drivers. i have nothing but respect for truckers and would drive a 359 or 379 any day. i know how to use a map and love hearing that cb crackling away. as true a your stereotype may be, its still nothing but a stereotype. it applies to the dumbasses of my generation not the average young trucker. "Keep it Rollin' "

  • good

  • pictures and song are great!!!

  • that hit the hert because i 8th generation trucker in my family and thats all we used

  • You know back in the 80s i heard the same thing when the 379 replaced the 359 and the corvette dash. Just be thankful you can still get a truck with a straight hood. The 389 will roll on.

  • There is NO replacement for the 379. It IS what a truck is all about!

  • Just a heads up, stupid comments get deleted.

  • pete at 1:23 is located in Northeast PA. also built by chrome shop mafia as seen on cmt

  • really there are super nice trucks on the road, but unfortnately petes arent one of them

  • 3:00 the black pete is nice :)

  • @sebastgiroux yup

  • 1 i didnt see,,,which is my fav,,,,379x with stainless front fenders,,,,but thanks for the great vid

  • Prettiest truck ever made, not that i am partial since I own one,but this is the truck I growed up admiring.Mine is a 2005 379 with black interior (last year for black in them) I can't stand the headlights on that 378 or whatever it is that took the 379's place.Great vid,

  • Thanks for posting this. I can remember as a little kid going on trips with my Dad, and waxing this magnificent machine every Saturday. The Swan was the coolest thing to me. He had a seat installed next to the driver seat so I could "help" him shift. Thanks for the memories.

  • @IrishTomahawk no problem thats what its all about :D

  • Spent some time when I got out of the Army in '75 in a 359 with a Big Cam Cummins and a 5X4 haulin' construction equipment. Spent even more time in the 379 pullin' a reefer. IMHO the379 UniBilt is the best truck ever bilt! Remember, Ain't no class sittin' behind fiberglass! Though satellite and DOT has reduced even this; If it wasn't for Chicken Trucks, the left lane would rust! Happy Trails and thanks for the upload!

  • How come they stop making the 379???

  • o than ok

  • great vid

  • We will miss the 379!

  • 1:57 owns ALLLL

  • i want them all. lol

  • my uncle owns a salvage yard for wrecked semis ive worked there since i was a kid it makes me so sad evry time i see a beautiful 379 some in on his wrecker shashed to pices but atleast we save whats left

  • I wish our length limit of 53.5 (176 ft) wasn't so enforced so we could run trucks with big sleepers like that but no length is measured from bull bar to bumper of rear trailer not just the trailer lengths. Truckabago we call em over here.

  • The trucks with the rounded headlights are 359s

  • kool

  • dont know how to put the timer link but the pete at 3minutes is a wicked fucking truck

  • 2:50 that looks an awful lot like a flat top freightliner, not a pete

  • @UntamedAdreniline maybe you're right but i doubt it

  • @UntamedAdreniline nah thats a Pete for sure

  • @UntamedAdreniline Only the bunk looks like something a freight, freightliner doesnt manke a hood that straight and long as the 379, LONG LIVE THE 379!

  • @hockeysnipes27 I know its a pete, just looks like a freightliner a little

  • @UntamedAdreniline no its a pete but no air breathers

  • @UntamedAdreniline i agree it looks like a flat top

  • @UntamedAdreniline that is a peterbilt

  • @74436chase i know its a pete, i'm just sayin it looks a little like a freightliner

  • Love the rides, and yeah, these guys should stop acting and start singin, damn good tune.......

  • @sleepytrucker252 agreed

  • fuckin awesome trucks =D

  • cant wait another 3 mounths get to do my first truck test

  • the 359, 379 and 389 all seem to be the same except a few external differences like the headlights all great trucks

  • @sd40u and they all have completely different interiors

  • @countryrebel22 yeah, I figured but couldn't say because i've only been in a 379. didn't want pretend to be an expert like alot of people on youtube. thanks for the confirmation

  • Long Live the King,....

  • great vid dude! Lots a nice rigs, too bad there were no 379X's in there ;( but threre were a few legacys in there1:09 2:25 3:09 and 3:30.

  • Comment removed

  • My grandpa had a 1999 Peterbilt 379 It was the best truck I had ridden in. It caught fire and was a total lost

  • truck at 2:35 is a pete 389. cool truck though.

  • @cj382 ya i know. i think somebody pointed it out a while back. o well i messed up, it happens, its still a nice truck!

  • AWESOME! That was like desert for my brain!!!

  • really nice vid.

  • @MrMD500E Thanks man!

  • There is not a huge difference between the 379 and the 389, and the fact of the matter is that most of the major changes in the flagship model was done PRIOR to the badge number change. For example, the major change in the interior was done in 2005 for the 2006 model year, the new cab door with large windows in 2004, etc. The 389 retains the notable features of the 379 with a few modernized changes. Its not likes its a whole new truck....

  • i love them fat basterds, peterbilt should bring them 379's back.

  • I didn't know Optimus Prime had brothers! now all we need is a spark and a protoform lol

  • 3:00 to 3:05 is my number1 truck in my own opinion.

  • i thought The song was really great. The Song had a punchline and loved it.

  • @Timrathmore thanx bro!

  • optimus prime!! :)

  • Pete 379's were always my favorite truck to drive, they are to trucks like Harley Davidson is to bikes.

  • Awsome video man! Love the 379 hooked to the bull rack!!

  • My dad just got rid of his 379, Now hes kicking him self in the ass for doing it. Best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be.. LONG LIVE THE 379!

  • all pete changed was the headlights and they have to put a new model number on the truck ?

  • @jouniortrucker123 ,,,,no they change interior,,,,minor mods to body,,,,,

  • 1:06 is my dads thank you so much and a special thanks from him

  • @Karlfed1 Sick short hood Pete! You boys planning on going to the Fergus Truck Show this year with that rig?

  • @FutureTruckerDennis depends how much if he whats to he doesnt allways go to show sometimes however

  • @Karlfed1 ok well im hoping to see you there but if not keep on truckin!

  • I really liked your video I congratulate you.

  • @Jesusblanc93 Thank you Jesus! :P I guess even higher powers care about this sorta thing. lol

  • those trucks are truly invinsible to police guns other cars hell the usa army the only way to stop those fucking beast is to take out the driver or let it run out of gas GO PETERBILT (ok maybe not the usa army but u kno what i mean)

  • 3:01 bad ass truck . Screw Macs, Freightliners, Internationals, Kenworths, Peterbilts are the shit.

  • yeah your right the 379 was the best year the peterbilt was made

  • My favorite @ 1:54

  • Peterbilt in America MAN in Europe these two truck are kings of the roads in in the two continent :):)

  • @AnDi92666 In europe DAF is the way to go

  • @FutureTruckerDennis actually Scania is the best truck in europe!! but they all do the job. Im european and my dad and uncle drove over there and they along with their friends prefer Scania.

  • @motcrue1 ya i must admit its prob true but my dad used to drive a Daf so thats kinda what i grew up liking.

  • @FutureTruckerDennis

Peterbilt and DAF are even related. And I would take a nice DAF 105XF over any Scania anytime...

  • @JJHS1977 i know they are related. they both belong to the paccar group. scania and volvo are also related cuz they are both from sweden.

  • Peterbilt is one of mine favorite truck he is american classic in trucks how is ford mustang in the cars i have never seen Peterbilt front of me becouse i an from Bulgaria

  • Very nice the 379 is the king!

  • Peterbilt is the best way to go

  • 1:32-1:37 is the best truck here.

  • Yup I agree! Its called The Gambler and my friends dad owns it. Keep On Truckin' bud!

  • Sweet, you all got some nice trucks in the family. My dad had a 18 wheeler once back about 2000. Had to let it go though you know, his dream is to own another one again, hopefully I can do it with him.

  • Ya my dreams are similar. Wanna start a company with my dad. Good luck to ya.

  • Thanks a lot, you too my friend.

  • Will do le'me know when ur on the road.

  • a full esos camiones me encantan soy argentino y una ves vi un peterbilt 379 que es me mendoza

  • I really don't see what all the fuss is about. The new 389 with the exception of the grill and headlights is basically the same truck as the 379 exhd. In my opinion the 359 was the best truck Peterbilt ever made.

  • Fair enough. I made this vid a while ago and I was really pissed about it then. It is also a great truck but a legend did die last year.

  • The death of a legend is always sad. The demise of the F-14 Tomcat from US Navy inventory, the end of Peterbilt 379 production; both the end of an era. Both will be truly missed.

  • @JJHS1977 True dat man!

  • Great video; at 2:35 I think it's a 389. Don't get me wrong, that's a great Peterbilt too.

  • Thanks Man! Keep On Truckin'!

  • @JJHS1977 ya it is a 389

  • i also want to start my own company!

  • the 389 brought about the death of a legend

  • Couldn't have said it better myself! Keep On Truckin'!

  • @pepperderdader;

In a way it did, but the 389 is a new legend by itself. I think it's safe to say that the spirit of the 379 lives on in the 389. The 389 is a great truck too.

  • i hate the new dashes they have now its all digital

  • i am chilean...so i am speak in spanish..sorry.
