This is amazing! I am wondering if you also implemented some advanced rules of chess such as en passant and castling, and if you did, could you post a video of these moves in action. As an engineer, I am truly amazed and can just say hats off to your team.

@brozo89 En passant YES, Castling YES. Also pawn promotion. If the requested piece is available it is brought back into play automatically in exchange for the pawn.

this is the best lego mindstorms robot i have ever seen in my life. i wish i had this robot. i just wouldn't want to put it together. i love chess and i love lego robots it is the best combination i have ever seen. the size is magnificent, even if i had to build it i would still do it because i could show it off to my friends. the popping up pieces are so cool. i would get this robot even if it cost a million dollors. best robot ever!
