Great recon JFB, same goes for Ep 1. I think I prefer the two reconstructed eps over the 2 surviving ones; Ep 1 sets the story up nicely, and Ep 3 finally moves the story along, with some Cyber action. (Ep 2 drags a bit, and Ep 4 fizzles out at the end!)
I think it is a damned shame, that this story is incomplete and cannot have a dvd release unless somebody does an animated versio of the two lost episodes like what was done with the Invasion. I like what has been done with th Invasion, I hope that can be done with all the missing and incomplete Dr Who serials let us fans hope that is possible one day. I find this story billions of times better than Earthshock, which was violent and depressing also the Cybermen in this story have flatter voices.
I think that Cybermen, in this story Moonbase were bloody excellent and were in my opinion the best Cybermen we ever had. I wish in later cyberstories the Cybermen had, kept the voices they had in this story and the next story Tomb which was excellent and the best Cyberstory ever made. I would hope that having released all the missing and incomplete Dr Who stories on audio as televission soundtracks. I would hope all the existing Dr Who, stories will one day get released on audio as soundtracks
@glennwithers I am only able to upload the episodes I've reconstructed - so, um, only the missing two episodes are present, if you see what I mean! The surviving two episodes are available on DVD.
omg this version of the cybermen's voice is so creepy! gives me chills, only problem is its hard to understand at times. what does it say when they mention that they were supposedly all destroyed?
The bit of Cyber-dialogue I think you are referring to is: "We are going to take over the Gravitron and use to destroy the surface of the Earth - by changing the weather."
They never actually explain how they escaped the destruction of Mondas, though in the original script they would have explained that some of them had already colonised the planet Telos.
@johnnyfanboy The subtle differences in suits indicates they are from another Cyberman planet. The Mondas Cyberman worn HUGE lamps on their head and carried a huge device around their neck... Their mouths are different shapes and body suits are different as well.
one of these cybermen is played by John leavene uncredited better known as Sgt benton

Still, very spooky for early Doctor Who. Good music, nice voices and the zombie techs!

@glennwithers because 2 and 4 exist so there's no need to reconstruct them. they're available on the Lost in Time DVD box set.
