  • Great melody, great dynamics, what's not to love?

  • definitivamente el jazz es una musica llena de sensualidad, me encanta.

  • Pro stuff!

  • muito bom!

  • Looking forward to next weekend at Whistler... wow

  • Listened to this album so many timz !!! Thanx for y'all's musicality !!!

  • The Rippingtons ROCK! They have had many well-known instrumentalists with solo careers as their members, including Dave Koz and Kenny G, to name a couple. Very much a good band!!

  • I like how Russ reacts to Tony's drum fill @ 2:10.

  • The absolute best in soft jazz

  • i love sampling from the rippingtons!

  • one of my favorite CD's next to Topaz and Black Diamond, and ...

  • Thats what i call a concert , not like those niggers and those tramps on stage ;)

  • Rippingtons? More like Ripping tunes, amirite?

I remember meeting my first wife at a rippingtons concert, we both heard them for the first time on the Weather Channel and loved them ever since. Well my first wife passed on from a tragic auto accident, but when I listen to the smooth sounds of the Rippingtons it reminds me of the good times that I used to have with her.

Also how can Kenny G possibly say bad things about these guys? They are better than he ever was.Jealousy I think.

  • @xnightofragex...I agree. Kenny can just keep his mouth shut about the Rippingtons!

  • does anyone know where i can get a tab to this song?

  • 1:28..that drumma nastay!!!!

    2:45 crucial synth solo!!!!

  • @authntX3

Aint he tho; that's Tony Morales, the original drumma in The Rippingtons-I think they call those drum licks triplets at 1:28-soo Damn Sick!!!!

  • @20103million

homeboi is super cold on da set

  • 1:28..that drumma nastay!!!!

  • Quite the mullet

  • @KnifeNut88 yea!!! awesome power mullet.

  • seeing them live on Aug. 15th!!! I Cant Wait!!!!!!

  • Goodness, I love the Rippingtons...

  • Jeff Kashiwa - the greatest sax'ist

  • SMOOTH!

  • Great song!

  • Jeff Kashiwa is the sax/woodwind player. You'll catch him both on live physical instruments, as well as an electronic one...called the E-Wii, or something along those lines.

  • E-Wii? E-Playstation?

    It's called EWI.

  • this song NEVER gets old....the band is just sweet!!! the bass player is so smooth and his runs/licks are perfectly placed; the sax is so sick, sound is so profound and rich; the electric guitar is straight legit...his effects on his stick are freakin awesome

  • Pretty damn awesome sound for a Yamaha sax..

  • 3:30 has to be the most awesome guitar solo ever!

  • 1:38!! Perfect bass lick right there.

  • I saw them years ago in Long Beach CA, got Freeman's autograph and everything. Was to young then to realize how amazing they are!

  • Personally, I like their earlier stuff much better> If you ever get a chance, pick up their "Best Of" album from 1987 or even "Topaz" with Russ Freeman from 1999. To me, they were in a "better place" musically. Even though they still maintain the horns signature sound, there's something missing from their earlier sets.

  • I agree completely.

  • I listned to these guys scince I was 6 years old and I still love their music 8 years later. The Rippingtons are one of the most popular bands in Jazz history!!!!

  • I feel the same way. I just discovered the awesomeness of The Rippingtons and now I'm hooked.

  • Ditto here! I grew up listening to 'em. They rock.

  • yeah i used to listen to these guys when i was really really young in the car with my dad. favorite band ever

  • im just 12 but this music is great

  • the rippingtons still rule!

  • Very good video! Thanks bmgworld!

  • Buenisimo Rippingtos, el sonido, la percusion ni hablar, que requete maravillosos son, en mi opinion los mejores en su genero

  • simply pure. was hoping to see seven nights in rome or angelfire somewhere, but this one works.

  • the rippingtons are beastly

  • this is why i like his older stuff. from 1985-1990, he was on point. his new radio-friendly albums aren't as good as tracks like these and "moonlighting"...

  • cool....

  • incredible music, thanks for posting

  • OMG, I love the Rippingtons; I'm so glad there on YouTube! Thank you so much! :D

  • I love this song and these are so great musicians! Russ is fantastic!

  • This is a great song to listen too if you had a bad day. It brighten's my day everytime I hear it. It's great to hear "live" too. Awesome band!!

  • Where and when did you see them. They don't tour very often?

  • The first time I saw the was in 1998 and the 2nd time was in 2000, both times in Albuquerque NM. The 98 show was an indoor show and the 2000 show was at an outdoor venue. Both were awesome. Great band, awesome musicians. Keep an eye on their website. They post their tour dates.
