I seen this on a program on tv ages ago can't remember the name of the show, anyways the guy who was using it put it in simple terms.

It uses super heated steam to lift you, not sure what the fuel is I can't remember but its pumped into a compressor or something at the top of the backpack where that black cylinder shape object is where its super heated and then jetted out the pipes.

I wonder if minature jet turbines, say 1/16 scale so they would only be like 2 inch 2 inch diameter and a 8 inches to a foot long overall, packed in a pod of 2 or 4 per side could deliver enough thrust to keep a man flying for an hour or more on a gallong or 2 of JP5 or gas. Hav eto figure out the thrust of a turbine with a 2 inch dia exaust. The blades will be small as hell, but i could machine it and make them.

Unfortunately we have not found a long lasting slow burning fuel to deliver an hour or 2 of flight rather then 30 seconds for the hydrogen and co2.

Hydrogen peroxide rocket, not bad, they use those for model rockets too. The hydrogen detaches easier than with water it seems (from experiments) but it does take up more room (less hydrogen per litre than water). So easier to obtain boom, but less fuel capacity.

No you can't use household hydrogen peroxide to make a rocket =\ its like 3% if I remember right, you need at least 50%.

2. you need to weigh at least 180 lbs 0.0 unless you are a kid or a girl you need some exreme weight loss

3. it can only go for about nine minutes which is good because most other packs can only go for like two minutes.
