Robert is one of the most underrated filmmakers. The Golden Lords hair still makes me laugh. But powerful scene. I cried when I saw this the first time.
Yeah, that was a strong quote in this film. It said the neighbors gotta try to patrol their own hood instead of waiting on someone to save them all the time. Kinda like Anthony Johnson's quote in Menace II Society, "Do you care whether you live or die?" Both films came out the same year and focused on the same problem: innercity violence! Meteor Man took a more humorous turn on it with the superhero genre and slapstick action whereas Menace II Society had more realism and brutality!
